After 18 years, it has become clear to me that there are significant disagreements between where this site is going and where I believe it needs to go. Considering that I need to be spending less time on Misplaced Pages due to a career and personal life, it seems better to part ways and move on. California State Route 56 was probably the first article I've ever touched, it being a road I've lived within a mile of for all of my life. I have to say, I screwed it up quite a bit, and even took it to GAN, when it was not even at Start-class standards yet. But now I see that you're taking the article to FAC, and it is quite an impressive piece of writing. I am very appreciative that you've taken so much work to improve this article.
