Trifunovic was previously a diplomat 2001, (First Secretary) in the Foreign Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina at UN, but he was fired due to his nationalistic behaviour.

Dr Darko Trifunovic is the author of a controversial 2002 report by the Documentation Center of Republic of Srpska in Banja Luka on the 1995 ].
