It is famous for its good road across all city.It has population of Hindu,Muslims mainly.But major population is of Hindu.

Upleta is a town located about 19 km from ], in ] District of ]. This fortified town is located on the banks of Moj River. The town, with its high fort wall with huge bastions, gates and small ghats and the skyline of the buildings, together creates a picturesque composition. Major point of attraction here is a mosque and a Jain temple. The Darbargadh (now a police station), is enclosed within a fortified campus.More about this is that it has a very large number of trees. It has main markets named KATLERI BAZAAR (a market clothes,beaty products), RAJ MARG. Upleta is known 4 its wide and clean road network.

It has a high quality dranage system, that help 2 pass out rain water during monsoon.

This city is situated on the bank of river MOJ. There is a temple of Mojeshwar Mahadev there. This is a very nice temple.

In the middle of the city there is a ststue of ''MAHARAJA BHAGVADSINGHJI''. This area is calld ''BAPU NA BAVLA''(statue) ''chowk''.

It was formerly ruled by Gondal Maharaja before independence.Along with Gondal,Dhoraji it was one of major town of Gondal state.
Rajkot and Porbandar are the nearest ]. Jamnagar is also near by airport around 100&nbsp;km.

It was famous for its watersupply tank in old Darbargadh which was unique during those old times.

Upleta is located at 21°44′N 70°17′E / 21.73°N 70.28°E / 21.73; 70.28. It is about 19 kilometres (12 mi) from Dhoraji, in the Rajkot district of Gujarat, on the banks of the Moj river.
