] develops ], and has to spend ] as a patient at ]. During his treatment, he is cared for by ] and ]. J.D. complains that Elliot's ] is too cold, forcing her to re-examine how she treats patients. J.D. also has misgivings about being operated on by Turk, who J.D. still sees as an immature college student, and requests to be operated on by someone else. However, when J.D.'s condition worsens, Turk is the surgeon on-call, and so performs the operation. J.D. realises that Turk is indeed a skilled surgeon, and apologizes to him for doubting him. |

Meanwhile, ] and ] fight for the attention of Dr. Benson, a retired Chief of Medicine at ] who has returned to the hospital as a patient. Kelso makes a decision that almost costs Dr. Benson his life. However, Dr. Benson ends up chiding Dr. Cox for refusing to "play the game," and for sabotaging his own career. |
