I am on wiki strike until 1 August. (I may actually come back later due to holiday in August and my being very busy from September.) While I am not too unhappy about the prospect of a Misplaced Pages without OrangeMarlin, the way this has been handled by ArbCom was completely unacceptable. The sloppiness of the the published part of the case, including the explanations for the secrecy of the proceedings, does not help me trust ArbCom's judgement about this bizarre (in the context of Misplaced Pages's general spirit) decision. --] (]) 21:11, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

A herd of British post boxes outside their natural habitat

I joined Misplaced Pages in November 2007, when I found that some Misplaced Pages articles around model theory contained incorrect information, used inconsistent terminology, or were unnecessarily duplicated with a model theory version and a universal algebra version competing for the few knowledgeable editors. Since my arrival the situation has vastly improved, but obviously there is still a lot to do.

I would like to get more structure into the existing articles on basic definitions in model theory and universal algebra, so they become a solid basis for further extensions. My work area for this is here. The worst part is currently everything that is related to Boolean algebra.

Other typical areas of activity for me are obscure historical topics that somehow catch my fancy, most notably pigeon photography and the history of card games.
