Hi there. I just wanted to say a few things - I support the moves to prohibit WW from working on DYK. However, I work with mediation, and there is a problem with the acceptance of negative characterization against her, which will only cause future problems. I asked for a simple redaction, because the line addressed character attributes and not actual examples. Therefore, her person, and not her contributions, were brought up to judgment, which is against what Misplaced Pages stands for. ''Everyone'' can contribute (in theory), so we must respect that. We cannot say "this person can't read therefore she should be blocked". Thats not civil and that can really hurt people. There is also the issue of BITE which comes into play. These are serious problems.

Just think - what if we block her and insult her like that. Then she may create socks or use IPs to get around it. Then she is blocked again, and we insult her more. Then she wants to get revenge on the encyclopedia. We just bred a potential hazard to editing. Do we want that? No. So it is good to try and respect all people in the beginning, even if their actions cause us stress. I hope this makes sense. ] (]) 21:23, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

:A block of her posting on DYK shouldn't be seen as punitive. It should be seen as preventative, since she is operating in this manner in relationship to DYK (possibly), and removing such should remove the strain between users. I think another solution would be to separate Blechnic and her. If anything, it would be for his benefit to remove the strain on him. ] (]) 21:45, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
