Anyone who wishes to suggest a party to the case may do so by creating a new section on ], providing a reason with ] as to why the user should be added, and notifying the user. After the three-day period ends, no further submission of parties will be considered except in exceptional circumstances. Because the Committee only hears disputes that have failed to be resolved by the usual means, proposed parties should have been recently taken to AE/AN/ANI, and either not sanctioned, or incompletely sanctioned. I did a check on the two articles and there are only minor differences between the two articles, so what I suggest you do is to replace all the content on ] with <b><nowiki>#REDIRECT ] {{R from merge}}</nowiki></b> to turn it into a redirect to ], and leave an edit summary of "<b><nowiki>Close merge request. Merge to ].</nowiki></b>" On ], just remove the mergefrom template and use an edit summary of "<b><nowiki>Close merge request. Merge from ]</nowiki></b>." If you want, you can add that there was no text to merge. Of course, you'll have to check for double redirects and fix those if they exist. --] ] 16:44, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

Given the discussion and my comments on the talk page, I'm not sure why you undid my edit. My concern is that the version you reverted to has accuracy and possible ] issues in that it suggests that Rezko was under investigation at the time of the land deal (which is not supported by the sources) and that he was investigated and convicted FOR the land deal (which isn't the case). I had therefore reverted to what I understood to be the version in place before the edit-war started (which, as I understand policy, should be the default) and offered to mediate. Can you clarify what I may have missed? Thanks, --] ]/] 00:04, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
:Looks like we missed each other in passing, I've commented on the talk for the reason. To try to summarize here, as far as I could see, that section has been that way for quite a while, so I figure until we have some sort of agreement (which it seems is ridiculously difficult), that we keep it that way. ] (]) 00:11, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
:Actually hold on a second, let me go back and re-read that bit, for some reason I don't recall the concerns you raise being in there. If so, I will self revert. ] (]) 00:12, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
:Ok, I've re-read the change, and I am afraid I don't see how it suggest that Rezko was being investigated during the land deal, or that it was the land deal that he was busted for. It seems to actually go out of its way to state that it is unrelated. Perhaps I am misunderstanding? ] (]) 00:15, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
::First and most importantly, thank you for jumping in to help mediate a reasonable resolution. It's certainly going to be an uphill battle. My concerns are mainly with the formulation of the paragraph, in particular: "The land adjacent to their house was simultaneously sold to the wife of developer Tony Rezko, a fundraiser for several prominent Illinois politicians from both major political parties, and the transaction later drew scrutiny from news outlets over Obama's dealings with Rezko. While Obama was never accused of wrongdoing, Rezko was under investigation for and later convicted of unrelated corruption charges..." would likely lead a typical reader to believe Rezko was under investigation at the time of the land deal. I've seen no sources cited that support that. At a minimum, that formulation probably should be immediately reworded to remove the strong implication.
:::Ahhh! I see! I'd like to blame it on it being a long day, but sadly I was probably just being sloppy. I didn't really deal with the change in the context of the whole paragraph, just the specific wording of the diff. Yeah, that paragraph is pretty terrible as it stands, not sure the other is -much- better, but I am not particularly comfortable being responsible for the current. I'll go ahead and self revert that one. Thanks for taking the time to explain! ] (]) 00:28, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I've noticed you've been a part of the Rezko discussion but haven't said which of the options now on the table you'd prefer. It would really help us to get to consensus if we could get your input on that. There's been plenty of discussion, but if you have questions, I'm sure other editors would answer them. The four options now on the table are the three in ] and ] (which doesn't contain the word "criticism"). So far, the two most popular versions seem to be Clubjuggle's Version 3 and Scjessey's. Please help us try to wrap this up. ] (]) 17:34, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Palestine-Israel articles 5 arbitration case opened
You offered a statement in an arbitration enforcement referral. The Arbitration Committee has accepted that request for arbitration and an arbitration case has been opened at Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Palestine-Israel articles 5. Evidence that you wish the arbitrators to consider should be added to the evidence subpage, at Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Palestine-Israel articles 5/Evidence. Please add your evidence by 23:59, 14 December 2024 (UTC), which is when the evidence phase closes. You can also contribute to the case workshop subpage, Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Palestine-Israel articles 5/Workshop. For a guide to the arbitration process, see Misplaced Pages:Arbitration Committee/Party Guide/Introduction. For the Arbitration Committee, SilverLocust 💬 06:14, 30 November 2024 (UTC)
Palestine-Israel articles 5 updates
You are receiving this message because you are on the update list for Palestine-Israel articles 5. The drafters note that the scope of the case was somewhat unclear, and clarify that the scope is The interaction of named parties in the WP:PIA topic area and examination of the WP:AE process that led to two referrals to WP:ARCA
. Because this was unclear, two changes are being made:
First, the Committee will accept submissions for new parties for the next three days, until 23:59, 10 December 2024 (UTC). Anyone who wishes to suggest a party to the case may do so by creating a new section on the evidence talk page, providing a reason with WP:DIFFS as to why the user should be added, and notifying the user. If a proposed party has not been taken to AE/AN/ANI, evidence is needed as to why such an attempt would have been ineffective.
Second, the evidence phase has been extended by a week, and will now close at 23:59, 21 December 2024 (UTC). For the Arbitration Committee, HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 03:20, 8 December 2024 (UTC)
