== Using this page ==

For articles that need deletion, add <nowiki>{{msg:delete}}</nowiki> to the top of the page. Usually, you should '''not''' wipe out the contents as it helps to check the contents to be deleted without having to look at the page history. This expands to:

<blockquote>
''This page is a ].''
<br><br>
''If you disagree that the page should be deleted, please explain this on the talk page, or at ].''
</blockquote>

You can also add it to the list at the bottom of this page, but you don't have to.

Note that if you just replace the content with <nowiki>{{msg:delete}}</nowiki> the prior content will not be automatically added to the deletion log summary when the page is deleted.

See below for instructions regarding the deletion of personal subpages.

For articles that are not ], please use ]. Please do not list pages that are already listed there.

== Advice for administrators ==
* Use ] for ''Mediawiki:Delete''
* Check talk pages, page history, etc -- if there is a dispute over whether the page should be deleted, consider first listing it on ]
* Review our ]

== Deletion of personal pages ==

Unless you are a sysop, it is not possible to delete your own user pages and subpages, so they must be listed here. If you are a sysop, it is recommended that you also list your pages here so they can be deleted by another sysop. For your main user or talk pages, you must list them here, not delete them yourself, to avoid the appearance that sysops can delete to hide negative comments, while others can't.

Only post pages from your '''own''' personal page, and only if you have a genuine reason for requesting a personal page of yours be deleted, please list it here.

Please see ] for further instructions, and ] for past discussion on this issue.

* On speedy deletion of ]: I (initial author of that new page, or what part of it managed to spring into existence) do not disagree with its deletion in the first place simply because of the typo contained in the page keystring. However, what about the purpose it was intended for. Lyrics translations may or may not be OT in an encyclopedia (BTW I didn't intend to copy whatever material is already available on the 'net here, anyway.) If anyone can point me to an open wiki more suitable for the purpose, please do. Meantime, could ] (to be created, and properly linked to ] perhaps be given a grace period of existence of, like, two weeks (or until the community decide it was meant to stay)? I don't mean to steal wikispace from wikipedia (sorry I don't have any option to set up a wiki myself) but I'm not sure a transient 10K Bytes (even times 10 edits) would really overburden the server. Any better suggestions greatly welcomed, thanks everybody.
