Hi Amaury, I’ve been trying to reach you over on the Alexa Nikolas wiki page. I’ve made some basic revisions and tried to document and source them. I’ve reached out via the talk page but gotten no response from you. Happy to discuss potential revisions, especially because the page has been flagged as needing more sources etc. if you revert it again, would be helpful to know why. many thanks, K ] (]) 06:30, 9 January 2024 (UTC)

Congrats on getting Rollback! Just a reminder, remember that it's only for blatantly unconstructive edits. If there are doubts, you should use one of the methods that allow you to leave an edit summary. You've been doing this well anyways, so I don't think that you'll have any problems. Again, congrats! Keep up the good work! <font color="#330099" face="Cooper Black">] ]/<small>]</small></font> 14:01, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
:Can you customize the rollback message? Because I noticed on some of the Huggle users who revert, the only think linked is the vandal's username plus the vandal's talk page link. The test I just did on my userpage was different. It had "Reverted" linked. - ] (]) 14:18, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
::There are ways to, but I've never used them. You can find about them ]. The only way I've ever done it is through Huggle, which does it automatically for you. Personally, what I do is use Rollback (ie the default edit summary) just for vandalism, and use Twinkle to give an edit summary. However, if you want to play with the scripts that allow edit summaries, have fun :) <font color="#330099" face="Cooper Black">] ]/<small>]</small></font> 14:24, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

:That's very true. Plus, if you (Eugene) start using Huggle, mistakes get very easy to make, even for the most experienced editors. Try to always err on the side of caution. ===Rollback & warning for vandalism on ]===
I see you have just been granted rollback privileges, please be mindful of how you are using it, a user you reverted and warned for vandalism ended up on my talk page confused and wondering what he had done wrong. All he did was overwrite a redirect to begin a legit article, not only do I see no reason to revert him in the first place, accusing him of vandalism was entirely uncalled for. Please be careful before you pull the trigger, we do not want to drive away good editors. ] <small>]</small> 17:36, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
I understand your point about a "random YT channel" isnt a valid source. But still Mr Buchanan in his own words says his full name is Tanner Emmanuel Cristobal Buchanan. So coming from his own mouth. So I think it's right to mention his full name on his wiki page. Here is an other source: https://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Buchanan,_Tanner ] (]) 02:05, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
:*Eugene, how many times is this going to happen before you learn to be more cautious and stop making unfounded vandalism accusations? This is far from the first time this has happened, I implore you once again to ''slow down'' and make sure an edit was vandalism before warning. ] (]) 18:35, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
::*Yeah, that one is bad. Calling someone a vandal when they are trying to build an article really goes against what Misplaced Pages is all about. Just guessing here, but looking at the edits, I'm guessing that you saw which appears to be the cleaning out of loose references. I think that there are a few points to learn here: 1) Make sure to look at the entirety of the edits. Botanicleve made three straight edits before you reverted. Make sure to look at the overall work, not just one diff. 2) Try to figure out why someone would remove content when they do. Looking at that diff, it's pretty obvious what the editor was doing when taking into account the section that he is editing. 3) Double check your work. You gave Botanicleve a page blanking/removal of content warning. After you reverted, if you looked at your diff, you were actually the one who removed content. <font color="#330099" face="Cooper Black">] ]/<small>]</small></font> 18:55, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

A long-disputed issue at that article has been wikilinking the character of Cindy that she played in ''Spider-Man: Homecoming'' and one other related film (expanding it to Cindy Moon from ]). I put an entry on the talk page there about a year and a half ago, and IJBall responded on that topic. Definitely miss him; IJBall knew more about the dispute than I did - I just know that when this wikilink was attempted, it would be reverted. And now an IP is claiming that IJBall's comments on the talk page, because of his block, are not valid and is deciding to go forward with the disputed wikilinking, further claiming there's no ] at all to prevent the wikilink. I'm thinking a new CONSENSUS may be needed, or the wikilink will need to stand in the future.

Hi Amaury, I’ve been trying to reach you over on the Alexa Nikolas wiki page. I’ve made some basic revisions and tried to document and source them. I’ve reached out via the talk page but gotten no response from you. Happy to discuss potential revisions, especially because the page has been flagged as needing more sources etc. if you revert it again, would be helpful to know why. many thanks, K KlausUlrich134 (talk) 06:30, 9 January 2024 (UTC)

User:Amaury needs to go at WP:AN/I
There is currently a discussion at Misplaced Pages:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Not me, but a disgruntled IP. Bgsu98 (Talk) 10:07, 17 February 2024 (UTC)
- @Bgsu98: Thank you kindly. I watch the page, but I appreciate your message nonetheless since IPs are currently unable to post here due to an unrelated user who keeps evading their block with IPs. This person is clearly WP:NOTHERE, so I don't really have any plans on responding to them directly on the ANI thread. Amaury • 10:12, 17 February 2024 (UTC)

Tanner Buchanan
I understand your point about a "random YT channel" isnt a valid source. But still Mr Buchanan in his own words says his full name is Tanner Emmanuel Cristobal Buchanan. So coming from his own mouth. So I think it's right to mention his full name on his wiki page. Here is an other source: https://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Buchanan,_Tanner Alleingänger (talk) 02:05, 22 April 2024 (UTC)

A long-disputed issue at that article has been wikilinking the character of Cindy that she played in Spider-Man: Homecoming and one other related film (expanding it to Cindy Moon from Silk (comics)). I put an entry on the talk page there about a year and a half ago, and IJBall responded on that topic. Definitely miss him; IJBall knew more about the dispute than I did - I just know that when this wikilink was attempted, it would be reverted. And now an IP is claiming that IJBall's comments on the talk page, because of his block, are not valid and is deciding to go forward with the disputed wikilinking, further claiming there's no WP:CONSENSUS at all to prevent the wikilink. I'm thinking a new CONSENSUS may be needed, or the wikilink will need to stand in the future.
Anyway, here's the last few edits (including reverts by me) at the article: . What do you think? MPFitz1968 (talk) 19:48, 17 May 2024 (UTC)

Why would you think that Big City Greens is not a Disney XD Series
There is no actual proof that Big City Greens is not a Disney XD Series, so why would you go to Wiki Fandom and visit the Big City Greens page and get your brain checked CoolBaljeetFan12 (talk) 20:56, 20 June 2024 (UTC)

Nickelodeon Movies productions
Hello, Amaury. Do me a favor: Can you remove No Time To Spy: A Loud House Movie in the list, template, and more, please? It appears to be unsourced as it only aired on television and that is the source. Akhil K. (talk) 15:59, 25 June 2024 (UTC)

Redirect categorization
I came across your removal of Danger & Thunder from Category:The Thundermans while I was checking for categories emptied out-of-process. I reverted it for two reasons – the WP:ECOOP issue, and the fact that redirects are often categorized. For example, if you look at Category:Television crossover episodes, around half of its members are redirects (indicated by italics). If you think that redirects should not be categorized, please propose this as a change to existing practice, rather than removing all categories from individual redirects. jlwoodwa (talk) 16:15, 13 September 2024 (UTC)

User:Marino13 at ANI
Hi Amaury, I see that you had made an observational comment regarding User:Marino13's behaviour before, over at this archived talk thread on User talk:Geraldo Perez. So I just thought I'd let you know that I have made an AN/I report concerning that user over at this thread, in case you've got anything to add. May I ask why have you reverted my edit here? She has Bulgarian nationality, by her own admission. Andro611 (talk) 15:53, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher) Please read MOS:CITIZEN. OhNoitsJamie 16:32, 4 December 2024 (UTC)
- MOS:CITIZEN is about stating ethnicity in the lede. I didn't add her Bulgarian nationality in the lede, I simply added her in a category of Bulgarian actresses (which she is). The talk page discussion said nothing about her not being a Bulgarian national, therefore I deem it is appropriate to add her into the category of Bulgarian actresses. Best regards. Andro611 (talk) 00:34, 13 December 2024 (UTC)
- The same thing applies to categories. Do not add it again. Amaury • 11:15, 13 December 2024 (UTC)
- Where is that stated? The MoS only refers to the opening paragraph, not categories. Why shouldn't she be in a category of Bulgarian actresses if she is an actress and possess Bulgarian nationality? Andro611 (talk) 19:23, 14 December 2024 (UTC)

Hi User:Amaury, I don't know if you got the message on Talk:Tanner Buchanan or not, but please: do not use rollback to revert edits that are not obvious vandalism, sockpuppet edits or anything that isn't under the valid criteria for the use of rollback.
I fail to see how diff 1, diff 2, diff 3, diff 4, diff 5, diff 6, diff 7, diff 8, diff 9, diff 10 are all correct uses of rollback under that criteria.
On the article Zoey 101, it's even worse. You edit warred with another user, by reverting their constructive change of the logo three times using rollback (diff 11, diff 12, diff 13). This could've easily resulted in loss of rollback privileges if someone had reported you to the administrators.
Diff 14, diff 15, diff 16 are correct uses of rollback, although usually you would also want to place an appropriate warning on the user's talk page regarding their unconstructive edit (e.g. for diff 16 I would've definitely sent a warning regarding adding spam links to articles).
But when it comes to reverting an edit that is constructive in at least some form of way, always try to provide an explanation why you had to revert that edit.
