Can we please try and work together to make the ] artile a GA. ==WWII Ambassador to Romania==
Merhaba arkadaşlar. I'm researching subjects related to the Holocaust in Romania, and came across info on the Turkish Ambassador to Romania, who attempted to rescue local Jews during the war years (probably between 1941 and 1943, 1944 at the latest). The main source I used did not mention his name, but I tried to look it up elsewhere, and it should be something like ''Selbarty Istinyell'' or ''Sefbarty Istinyell'' (one has got to be a misspelling, and I apologize for not knowing if this is the right name order). I don't have any other reference around for the facts, let alone access to Turkish printed sources (not that I would understand much of them either way). What I'm looking for, at least at this stage, is a correct and standard version of the name - to redlink him in one article; obviously, if this can lead you guys to start an article on him, it's all good. == Turkish comics help ==
Hi, just dropping in to see if anyone here can help. We have a number of new comics articles that have largely Turkish sources:
*] | |||
*] | |||
*] | |||
*] | |||
As can been seen the articles are currently weak but it may be they are notable enough for inclusion - there is just not much of a way for those who don't know Turkish to tell one way or the other and I'd hate to see articles deleted if the main problem is a language barrier (there has already been one speedy deletion attempt). Some, like Minus Eighty and Rodeo Strip do seem to have been covered in leading newspapers and magazines but my Turkish is minimal and I was wondering if there was anyone around who knew the topic and was interested in checking to make sure there is good coverage and perhaps making the links footnotes to support statements in the articles. Also if you know of any more sources then feel free to throw them in.
Merhabalar, | |||
You might also want to look this over: ].
As you probably know you can see a list of articles without any cites at all by clicking “A list of articles needing cleanup associated with this project” at the bottom right of the project page and then scrolling down and clicking “Cites no sources”. I think these uncited articles drag down the reputation of this project and maybe its other articles.
Also if anyone is knowledgeable and enthusiastic then don't be shy about pitching in to the area of Turkish comics (including newspaper comic strips) as the coverage isn't currently that good and the only reasonable articles are on comics artists who get work in the US industry, which seems a pity. Top level category is: ].
