No. In fact, if you look at his talk page, you'll see I'd already posted a note to that effect, to try to minimize confusion. I did the same on the talk pages of some articels where he's mentioned. Obviously, I couldn't do the same in the actual articles. ] (]) 09:46, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

I saw you made a lot of edits to the section. I didn't look at all of them (takes a bit long for each diff to load), so i can't tell you if i like them all, but your editing inspired me to look at the section a bit closer. I hope my additions don't conflict with what you had in mind for that section. Also: please don't take offense by my edit summaries. I somehow got the impression you were shortening too much and only later realized that your edits were actually quite surgical :) I'd be happy if you let me know if u like my additions; or not, of course :) My idea was to provide the first-time reader of the Buddhas life story with at least a wee bit more background info, i.e. use this possible first encounter with a reader new to Buddhism to leave him with at least some idea of what "enlightenment" could mean (i imagine, many readers will start with the life story). I see that you . Please take the time to read links that are posted in edit summaries, as it is quite obvious that you did not, otherwise you would know the reason the section was removed. ], and this talk page is ]. The purpose of the talk page is communication in regard to improving the encyclopedia, it is not be be used simply for praise. Lastly, please heed the following suggestion: splitting discussions as you do onto separate pages in your userspace is not advised. No one looks there, they either wait on their own talk page, or they watch your talk page. :Any user can leave another user warnings. One doesn't have to be an admin to do so. No, I will not stay off of your talk page if you willingly violate policy, I will warn you as we are instructed to do. Fourthly, the userspace is not considered a sandbox, the page you created was not a sandbox before like you purport, but was . It is not weird to monitor the activities of a user who was knowingly violating policy. Lastly, I will not use an article talk page to talk with you. Article talk pages are for discussing improvements to the article ONLY. That is what they are for, as described at ]. They are not to be used as user-to-user communication, that is what this talk page is for, and I shall use it as it was meant to be used if you continue to violate policy.— ''']] ]''' 01:54, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
::For transparency, . Yes, I realize the page is about vandalism, but still the point remains the same. I am not ''acting like an administrator'', I am acting like a user. Any user is allowed to warn any other user, period. Lastly, go on, report me. I'm not doing anything wrong. Informing a user of policy is not against the rules. You can't report me for simply replying to you.— ''']] ]''' 02:05, 19 October 2009 (UTC) |
