==Creation and development==
The characters of Jaina Solo and her twin brother Jacen were created by ] for the novel '']'' (1994). The twins played a small role in ]'s '']'' trilogy, and a larger supporting role in Vonda McIntyre's '']''. Not until the '']'' (1995) do Jaina Solo and her friends become major characters.<ref> on Star Wars: Databank</ref>

], author of ''Dark Journey'', commented that the story is a personal one focusing on a difficult time in Jaina's life.<ref></ref> ], author of ''Destiny's Way'', commented that the plot concerning Jaina Solo's love-life caused some frantic rewrites.<ref></ref>

==Depiction==
Jaina, named after Han's mother, is born five minutes before her brother Jacen in '']''. The twins, and eventually their younger brother, live at various safe havens for their first few years under the protection of Leia's handmaiden ]. In '']'', Jaina helps her brother defend their unconscious uncle from the spirit of ] ]. In ''The Crystal Star'', Jaina is kidnapped by and used, along with her siblings, in a plot to take advantage of their Force powers. In the Corellian Trilogy, Jaina is again kidnapped but escapes. In the ''Young Jedi Knights'' series, Jaina travels to ] with her brother to begin her Jedi training.

Throughout the '']'' series, Jaina pursues a life separate from her twin brother and becomes ]'s apprentice. Jaina progresses quickly as a Jedi and a pilot, eventually joining ]. She also develops a romantic relationship with ]. She briefly becomes the apprentice of fallen Jedi ]. Jaina's understanding and manipulation of ] technology causes them to associate her with their trickster goddess. She is present at the conclusion of the war with the Yuuzhan Vong.

In '']'', Jaina and the Jedi Zekk are joined in the ] hive. Jacen tricks them into attacking a ] base to provoke a war between the Chiss and the Killiks; Jaina, furious, vows that she will never fly with Jacen again.

In the '']'' series, Jacen throws Jaina out of the Alliance Navy when she refuses to follow his order to destroy a crippled ship. She senses at this time a growing darkness in her twin. In '']'', Jacen falls to the ], and Jaina realizes her duty as the "Sword of the Jedi" requires her to stop him. She turns to ] to train her. In '']'', Jaina duels and kills Jacen.

== In Lego Form ==

In the Lego Star War: Trilogy series, Jaina stars as herself. A girl named Megan
portrays her in this series. Jaina marries another lego named Chad Stark, and later, has two kids with him. (Chad Jr. and Padme Stark) Chad is the hottie - hot - hottie in high school, and Padme is almost left to dry. Padme then gets killed in a fighter crash when impereals go after her, and Jaina nearly gets her heart stolen when a lego Zekk comes to the set of the show. In the movie finale, Jaina has another kid with Chad, a daughter.


== Battling And Romance ==

Chad is later introduced into the show, as Jaina's jedi master. She ends up falling for him, and making a fool out of herself as she tries to make him feel the same. (For her.)

Jaina and Chad end up having to work together in a battle, and that's when he really finds out that he loves her.


== "Idol Wars" ==

Megan also plays Jaina in a minishow called, "Idol Wars." The show is where the LSW:T cast,(the legos)come to sing in frount of the three judges. Jacen, Leia, and Ahsarad Hett. Han comes to sing a song for Leia, who is the most likely Paula Abdul lego, and sings a version of,"Don't You Wish Your Wife Was Hot Like Mine." Leia claims that her favorite part was the, "Don't You wish your wife was sexy like mine," part.
