I respect your view of course, and certainly understand it. May I ask though how much experience you have had with the working of Arbcom? I would not want WMC to ''be'' Arbcom for a minute, he would only be one vote on the committee but the current mix of indecision, and inability to be a bit more abrasive when needed with people who deserve it, makes a lot of the project very mediocre with too much compromise for the sake of keeping contributers at the margins happy. I don't want an Arbcom of Hawks but just one has to improve the quality of the discussion there. --] ] 12:01, 2 December 2009 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Tronji

Notice

The article Tronji has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Appears to fail WP:GNG

While all constructive contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. St Catherine's College, Oxford

I don't think our paths have crossed previously, although we are near Wiki contemporaries, but I was delighted to make your acquaintance on the Blue plaque Talkpage. I could not help noticing that you are Oxford-based and that you occasionally take photographs for Commons. Sometime back, I worked up this list, Grade I listed buildings in England completed in the 20th century. This has three irritating gaps in the Images column, including one where there should be a photograph of the gymnasium/squash courts at St Catherine's College. I have asked for help at the Misplaced Pages:WikiProject University of Oxford, but so far without success. If it were at all possible, without causing you any inconvenience, to wend your way to Catz and snap a shot of the gymnasium, I would be much in your debt. I shall, of course, completely understand if you utterly indifferent to the missing gap in my list and have many more interesting ways to spend your free time! With best regards. As you can see at User:Jonathan A Jones/Gallery I have done that twice in the past and in principle am happy to do this again. Unlike the other two locations Catz is not on my direct route to anywhere, but it wouldn't be a huge trip, so when I have a spare hour during good weather I can try to wander past. Just to check, this in the gymnasium in south east corner of the main site? Jonathan A Jones (talk) 08:42, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
