Proposed deletion of Mabo Day

The article Mabo Day has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Nomination of Mabo Day for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Mabo Day is suitable for inclusion in Misplaced Pages according to Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

Hi again, thanks for getting back to me. But don't see an explanation on the talk page you identified nor on RS/N. (dont know what that is.) If you have time, perhaps a sentence of explanation? If not, I have no problem with your removal of the cit as I'm sure you have good reasons. It looks from your talk page that you do lots of fascinating work on WP. Simon Kidd, you are removing valid information from articles without any decision having been taken in the RSN. Also mind you that it is one thing to remove the reference itself and another to remove the text it supports. The way you are editing is definitely after an agenda and the information you remove along with the references (instead of leaving it there and placing an "unreferenced" tag) is not proper at all. A decision was taken about Kevin Shepherd and the admins who took it removed some of your references and the text they supported. You are now acting on your own with no decision taken about Kalchuri. Hoverfish sounded like a WP authority or something and of course it didn't occur to me that you might be having a debate, with two points of view. I appreciate your including the WP criteria for citing 3d party sources. And it certainly seems to me that "devotee published material" doesn't pass the test. In any case, I won't do anything.
