If everyone was willing to work collegially and respectfully I'm sure an accomodation could be reached, but there are many here who treat Misplaced Pages as an ] and who play at politics instead of encyclopedia building. But I've enjoyed working with lots of editors on a wide range of subjects. The vast majority here have been friendly and helpful, although there is some paranoia and suspicion that is fostered by the ] atmospherics. == Windows ==

I observed on Giano's page that you had enquired about the windows of that church. They are characteristic of Venetian Renaissance palazzo and were often imitated in 19th century buildings because they could be made with wooden or brick frames much easier than Gothic tracery could. That building is somewhat Medieval in its form, but is Classicising in its details. Hence the Renaissance-style windows. I don't know of a specific name for them. You shouldn't try to apply Gothic terminology to the, like "Geometric Decorated" etc. I would tend to describe them as "Venetian Renaissance-style" for want of something better. ] (]) 10:28, 14 March 2010 (UTC)
