Thanks for participating at the RFC for this article in the past. Unfortunately, despite what was a clear consensus, the people trying to slant the article to the fringe view simply shopped around until they got enough other people to show up, and they are very aggressive about wanting the POV there. One of the arguments there is the typical "people used to think the sun revolved around the earth, and by your arguments we wouldn't have been allowed to say otherwise" silliness. There are also strong indications of at least one sockpuppet at work. If you cared about your input there it might help to come back and reiterate it. ] (]) 00:24, 24 September 2009 (UTC) Thanks for participating at the RFC for this article in the past. == Notification: General sanctions and 1RR restriction on ] ==

<div class="center">'''You are receiving this message because of your involvement at the ] article. Please don't consider it an assumption of bad faith'''</div>
As a result of ], the ] has acknowledged long-term and persistent problems in the editing of articles related to the ], broadly understood. As a result, the Committee has enacted broad ], described ] and below.

*Any uninvolved administrator may, on his or her own discretion, impose sanctions on any editor working in the area of conflict if, despite being warned, that editor repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Misplaced Pages, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process.
*The sanctions imposed may include blocks of up to one year in length; bans from editing any page or set of pages within the area of conflict; bans on any editing related to the topic or its closely related topics; restrictions on reverts or other specified behaviors; or any other measures which the imposing administrator believes are reasonably necessary to ensure the smooth functioning of the project.
*Prior to any sanctions being imposed, the editor in question shall be given a warning with a link to this decision; and, where appropriate, should be counseled on specific steps that he or she can take to improve his or her editing in accordance with relevant policies and guidelines.
*Discretionary sanctions imposed under the provisions of this decision may be appealed to the imposing administrator, the appropriate administrators' noticeboard (currently ]), or the Committee.

These editing restrictions may be applied to any editor for cause, provided the editor has been previously informed of the case. This message is to so inform you. This message does not necessarily mean that your current editing has been deemed a problem; this is a template message crafted to make it easier to notify any user who has edited the topic of the existence of these sanctions.

Generally, the next step, if an administrator feels your conduct on pages in this topic area is disruptive, would be a warning, to be followed by the imposition of sanctions (although in cases of serious disruption, the warning may be omitted). Hopefully no such action will be necessary.

This notice is only effective if given by an administrator and logged ].
*In relation to the above, you are informed that the ] article is under a blanket 1RR restriction and violations of this restriction will result in escalating blocks and/or topic/page bans. Thank you for your cooperation. ] &#124; ] 21:35, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

An Arbitration request in which you are involved has been opened, and is located ]. Please add any evidence you wish the Arbitrators to consider to the evidence sub-page, ]. You may also contribute to the case on the workshop sub-page, ].

Additionally, please note that for this case specific procedural guidelines have been stipulated; if you have any questions please ]. The full outline is listed on the Evidence and Workshop pages, but please adhere to the basics:
*The issues raised in the "Sock Puppet Standards of Evidence" and "Stephen Schultz and Lar" requests may be raised and addressed in evidence in this case if (but only if) they have not been resolved by other means.
*Preparation of a formal list of "parties to the case" will not be required.
*Within five days from the opening of the case, participants are asked to provide a listing of the sub-issues that they believe should be addressed in the committee's decision. This should be done in a ] of the Workshop page designated for that purpose. Each issue should be set forth as a one-sentence, neutrally worded question—for example:
**"Should User:X be sanctioned for tendentious editing on Article:Y"?
**"Has User:Foo made personal attacks on editors of Article:Z?"
**"Did Administrator:Bar violate the ABC policy on (date)?"
**"Should the current community probation on Global Warming articles by modified by (suggested change)?"
:The committee will not be obliged to address all the identified sub-issues in its decision, but having the questions identified should help focus the evidence and workshop proposals.
*All evidence should be posted within 15 days from the opening of the case. The drafters will seek to move the case to arbitrator workshop proposals and/or a proposed decision within a reasonable time thereafter, bearing in mind the need for the committee to examine what will presumably be a very considerable body of evidence.
*Participants are urgently requested to keep their evidence and workshop proposals as concise as reasonably possible.
*The length limitation on evidence submissions is to be enforced in a flexible manner to maximize the value of each user's evidence to the arbitrators. Users who submit overlength diatribes or repetitious presentations will be asked by the clerks to pare them. On the other hand, the word limit should preferably not be enforced in a way that hampers the reader's ability to evaluate the evidence.
*All participants are expected to abide by the general guideline for Conduct on arbitration pages, which states:
*Incivility, personal attacks, and strident rhetoric should be avoided in Arbitration as in all other areas of Misplaced Pages.
*Until this case is decided, the existing community sanctions and procedures for Climate change and Global warming articles remain in full effect, and editors on these articles are expected to be on their best behavior.
*Any arbitrator, clerk, or other uninvolved administrator is authorized to block, page-ban, or otherwise appropriately sanction any participant in this case whose conduct on the case pages departs repeatedly or severely from appropriate standards of decorum. Except in truly egregious cases, a warning will first be given with a citation to this notice. (Hopefully, it will never be necessary to invoke this paragraph.)

His action comes at a particularly inopportune time, since we are supposedly engaged in about the SAQ. I posted on his talk page, giving my reasons and asking him to comply with the AfD result, which he deleted as a "personal attack".

Can you advise me on what I should do, if anything? I had hoped the mediation would solve our differences, but it has yet to come about and I now wonder if it will. Okay, there is consensus on the talk page to put in the new lead. There are disruptive editors there trying to keep the status quo. And no one seems to care about the situation. Is there anything to be done, or has the ArbCom restriction just put the article under so much fear, like I said before, that nothing can be accomplished by editors who actually care about the status of their accounts? :At this point, I'm not sure what to do, short of a slow-motion edit war over the new lead (which I'd rather avoid). Opponents of the new lead seem happy with the status quo and don't want to discuss anything. ] 20:00, 10 February 2011 (UTC)

<div class="center">''this is a joke, User:Scibaby was blocked for disrupting global warming articles''</div>

Under the ], articles that do not meet basic Misplaced Pages criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{tlc|hang on}} to '''the top of ]''' (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on ''']''' explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for ''speedy'' deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Talk:Smiley face murder theory

DreamGuy (talk) 00:24, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

Hate to bug you again, but some extremely aggressive editors on this article are claiming that I was the only person who opposed their changes and that consensus is against me and that I am a liar and all sorts of bizarre claims. If you have the time to come back and weigh in again it'd be very helpful. DreamGuy (talk) 16:21, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Misplaced Pages:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:47, 24 September 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 16:47, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages:Deletion review/Log/2009 October 2#Bullshido.net

Since you participated in Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Bullshido.net (3rd nomination), which was closed as "no consensus", you may be interested in a subsequent DRV. Since I disagreed with the close, I contacted the closing admin, who responded, "To be honest, Cunard, I would tend to agree with you, but I am not sure if the balance of things heads to delete rather than no consensus. Listing it at DRV might be a good option here; I won't endorse or oppose the close and will allow the DRV community to decide it. Therefore, I have listed this article at DRV; if you would like to participate, please see Misplaced Pages:Deletion review/Log/2009 October 2#Bullshido.net. "Dammit, who put this shit back in?" is not appropriate in the least, and I'm sure you can convey your point without cursing, which can be viewed by whoever edited the page. I found your "edit summary" rather offensive. Thanks, Onopearls 22:13, 28 October 2009 (UTC)

It appears that Xiutwel should be considered the master account. His WP:AE restrictions are linked from Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Enforcement/Archive26. Proposed deletion of 10 Agorot controversy

The article 10 Agorot controversy has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No source for Arafat's statements or any source that reflects this as a controversy. Regardless, one individual's statements hardly comprise a "controversy."

While all contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Plot Spoiler (talk) 19:00, 10 March 2010 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Badwareunderinvestigation.png

Thanks for uploading File:Badwareunderinvestigation.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Misplaced Pages:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. FASTILYsock 22:30, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

Notification: General sanctions and 1RR restriction on Richard Goldstone

You are receiving this message because of your involvement at the Richard Goldstone article. Please don't consider it an assumption of bad faith

As a result of an arbitration case, the Arbitration Committee has acknowledged long-term and persistent problems in the editing of articles related to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, broadly understood. As a result, the Committee has enacted broad editing restrictions, described here and below.

  • Any uninvolved administrator may, on his or her own discretion, impose sanctions on any editor working in the area of conflict if, despite being warned, that editor repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Misplaced Pages, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process.
  • The sanctions imposed may include blocks of up to one year in length; bans from editing any page or set of pages within the area of conflict; bans on any editing related to the topic or its closely related topics; restrictions on reverts or other specified behaviors; or any other measures which the imposing administrator believes are reasonably necessary to ensure the smooth functioning of the project.
  • Prior to any sanctions being imposed, the editor in question shall be given a warning with a link to this decision; and, where appropriate, should be counseled on specific steps that he or she can take to improve his or her editing in accordance with relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Discretionary sanctions imposed under the provisions of this decision may be appealed to the imposing administrator, the appropriate administrators' noticeboard (currently WP:AE), or the Committee.

This notice is only effective if given by an administrator and logged here.

Fair use rationale for File:C128 ML Monitor.gif

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:C128 ML Monitor.gif. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Misplaced Pages constitutes fair use. If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Climate change

An Arbitration request in which you are involved has been opened, and is located here. Please add any evidence you wish the Arbitrators to consider to the evidence sub-page, Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Climate change/Evidence. You may also contribute to the case on the workshop sub-page, Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Climate change/Workshop.

Additionally, please note that for this case specific procedural guidelines have been stipulated; if you have any questions please ask. The full outline is listed on the Evidence and Workshop pages, but please adhere to the basics:

  • The issues raised in the "Sock Puppet Standards of Evidence" and "Stephen Schultz and Lar" requests may be raised and addressed in evidence in this case if (but only if) they have not been resolved by other means.
  • Preparation of a formal list of "parties to the case" will not be required.
  • Within five days from the opening of the case, participants are asked to provide a listing of the sub-issues that they believe should be addressed in the committee's decision. This should be done in a section of the Workshop page designated for that purpose. Each issue should be set forth as a one-sentence, neutrally worded question—for example:
    • "Should User:X be sanctioned for tendentious editing on Article:Y"?
    • "Has User:Foo made personal attacks on editors of Article:Z?"
    • "Did Administrator:Bar violate the ABC policy on (date)?"
    • "Should the current community probation on Global Warming articles by modified by (suggested change)?"
The committee will not be obliged to address all the identified sub-issues in its decision, but having the questions identified should help focus the evidence and workshop proposals.
  • All evidence should be posted within 15 days from the opening of the case. The drafters will seek to move the case to arbitrator workshop proposals and/or a proposed decision within a reasonable time thereafter, bearing in mind the need for the committee to examine what will presumably be a very considerable body of evidence.
  • Participants are urgently requested to keep their evidence and workshop proposals as concise as reasonably possible.
  • The length limitation on evidence submissions is to be enforced in a flexible manner to maximize the value of each user's evidence to the arbitrators. Users who submit overlength diatribes or repetitious presentations will be asked by the clerks to pare them. On the other hand, the word limit should preferably not be enforced in a way that hampers the reader's ability to evaluate the evidence.
  • All participants are expected to abide by the general guideline for Conduct on arbitration pages, which states:
  • Incivility, personal attacks, and strident rhetoric should be avoided in Arbitration as in all other areas of Misplaced Pages.
  • Until this case is decided, the existing community sanctions and procedures for Climate change and Global warming articles remain in full effect, and editors on these articles are expected to be on their best behavior.
  • Any arbitrator, clerk, or other uninvolved administrator is authorized to block, page-ban, or otherwise appropriately sanction any participant in this case whose conduct on the case pages departs repeatedly or severely from appropriate standards of decorum. Except in truly egregious cases, a warning will first be given with a citation to this notice. (Hopefully, it will never be necessary to invoke this paragraph.)

On behalf of the Arbitration Committee, ~ Amory (utc) 00:35, 13 June 2010 (UTC)

Would you take a look at this?

Since you initiated the Afd, I thought I would look to you for advice. Before the page was deleted, Smatprt (talk · contribs) copied the page and saved in on his talk page. He then, under the guise of creating another draft of the Shakespeare authorship question (as per the directive stemming from this decision, into the draft pasted part of the Oxfordian article that contained similar information.

He then created a new article in the mainspace, Oxfordian Theory - Parallels with Shakespeare's Plays, with the edit summary of "forking play portion from draft3, adding in mainstream dismissal to opening para and several lead graphs to maintain NPOV". However, a comparison with his archived copy of the deleted article shows that it was not forked from the talk page draft, but pasted almost verbatim from his archived version.

His action comes at a particularly inopportune time, since we are supposedly engaged in mediation about the SAQ. I posted a protest on his talk page, giving my reasons and asking him to comply with the AfD result, which he deleted as a "personal attack".

Can you advise me on what I should do, if anything? I had hoped the mediation would solve our differences, but it has yet to come about and I now wonder if it will. I realise this is a tedious subject for most people, but any advice you can offer I would appreciate. Tom Reedy (talk) 05:24, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Fast Hack'em Ad.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Fast Hack'em Ad.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Misplaced Pages may not meet the criteria required by Misplaced Pages:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Misplaced Pages:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. SchuminWeb (Talk) 17:59, 25 November 2010 (UTC)

Hi. I am looking into forming a Wiki project about electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles. Any thoughts? Are you interested? Do you know other editors that may be interested? Feel free to drop a line at my talk page.(I hope by putting discussions of the proposed project in one place would make it easier for every interested editor to keep up to date.) ---North wiki (talk) 13:59, 21 January 2011 (UTC)

WP:ARBPIA notification

This notice is only effective if given by an uninvolved administrator and logged here.

This is just a notification and not an assumption of bad faith. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 19:39, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
I am aware of this case. I believe that my editing on Jerusalem has all been well within the "purpose of Misplaced Pages, expected standards of behavior, and normal editorial process." I have attempted to discuss this on the talk page to reach consensus, but the editor who requested you to serve me with this notification has refused to cooperate. Instead, he continually harps on procedural objections, claiming that the article must remain static because of an active RFC, and claiming that it has been discussed before and therefore cannot be discussed again. There seems to be an overall consensus for the changes I have proposed, with 2 objectors (plus a third new account that is a probable sockpuppet.) *** Crotalus *** 13:55, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

Jerusalem

Okay, there is consensus on the talk page to put in the new lead. There are disruptive editors there trying to keep the status quo. And no one seems to care about the situation. Is there anything to be done, or has the ArbCom restriction just put the article under so much fear, like I said before, that nothing can be accomplished by editors who actually care about the status of their accounts? BE——Critical__Talk 16:58, 9 February 2011 (UTC)

At this point, I'm not sure what to do, short of a slow-motion edit war over the new lead (which I'd rather avoid). Opponents of the new lead seem happy with the status quo and don't want to discuss anything. *** Crotalus *** 20:00, 10 February 2011 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Scibaby

The article Scibaby has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:DENY

While all contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Sailsbystars (talk) 22:29, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Just an additional explanation. Misplaced Pages user names don't belong in article space. Period. Especially if they belong to well known disruptive editors who are not notable outside the wikiverse. The only recognition they get is a description at WP:LTA and an indef block. I will gladly defend it at an RfD, but I was hoping we can avoid the dramafest that might ensue by using a prod. Sailsbystars (talk) 22:41, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Scibaby

A tag has been placed on Scibaby, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done for the following reason:

this is a joke, User:Scibaby was blocked for disrupting global warming articles

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Misplaced Pages criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Startmoney 5 (talk) 11:36, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:Mushroom Alley Title Screen.gif

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Mushroom Alley Title Screen.gif. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Misplaced Pages is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. File source problem with File:1873 Shield nickel.png

Thank you for uploading File:1873 Shield nickel.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. File:VIC-20 SpeedScript.gif needs authorship information

Dear uploader:

The media file you uploaded as File:VIC-20 SpeedScript.gif appears to be missing information as to its authorship (and or source), or if you did provide such information, it is confusing for others trying to make use of the image.

It would be appreciated if you would consider updating the file description page, to make the authorship of the media clearer.

Although some images may not need author information in obvious cases, (such where an applicable source is provided), authorship information aids users of the image, and helps ensure that appropriate credit is given (a requirement of some licenses).

  • If you created this media yourself, please consider explicitly including your user name, for which: {{subst:usernameexpand|Crotalus horridus/Archive 4}} will produce an appropriate expansion,
    or use the {{own}} template.
  • If this is an old image, for which the authorship is unknown or impossible to determine, please indicate this on the file description page.
If you have any questions please see Help:File page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 20:26, 2 July 2012 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Voodoo 5 6000.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:Voodoo 5 6000.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:09, 21 January 2013 (UTC)

As there is only one incoming link to this shortcut, is there any chance you would be happy for the shortcut to be deleted, for wp:subpage purity sake alone? Long short, but I thought I should ask. Proposed deletion of DragonHawk

The article DragonHawk has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable game, no sources

While all constructive contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
