Over-the-air, it broadcasts a digital signal on ] channel 8.2 from a transmitter on Rice Avenue in ]. This can also be seen on ] channel 9 and in ] on digital channel 709. ] programming on WLIO-DT2 includes: '']'', '']'', '']'', and '']''. Its parent station has studios on Rice Avenue in Lima.

Originally, the area's Fox affiliate was on WOHL-CA (now ]) which was with the network from its inception on October 9, 1989 until September 28, 2009. On that date, ] affiliate ] terminated its analog operations and its programming was shifted to WOHL. Due to its ] status, that channel did not air a digital signal of its own while broadcasting in analog. However, there was one offered on WLIO's second digital sunchannel. After WOHL's switch to ABC, Fox and MyNetworkTV shows continued to be seen on WLIO-DT2.
