Look, there's nothing wrong with ''bilingual'' at all (as long as your group lobbied out a bilingual naming tradition for anything Ukrainian). But '''what''' are you "bilinguing"? Think: do you want a UA/RU name for the official name of the '''company''' (which I've already done)? Or for the name of the '''article''' (which is non-sense)? Do you read me so far:)? Are we writing the page on the system (which needs a clear and short unofficial EN-only name), or on the company that operates it? Can't you understand? Light metro

Since the metrotram is partially underground, can it be considered a light metro and not light rail? It says so on the Ukrainian wiki page... Doc Dimaus (talk) 17:41, 7 July 2023 (UTC)

@Doc Dimaus: Here, in English Misplaced Pages, we follow WP:reliable sources. Do the sources call it a "light metro"? Vanjagenije (talk) 21:33, 8 July 2023 (UTC)

Intro

Look, there's nothing wrong with bilingual at all (as long as your group lobbied out a bilingual naming tradition for anything Ukrainian). But what are you "bilinguing"? Think: do you want a UA/RU name for the official name of the company (which I've already done)? Or for the name of the article (which is non-sense)? Do you read me so far:)? Are we writing the page on the system (which needs a clear and short unofficial EN-only name), or on the company that operates it? Can't you understand?

Please obey the following guides:

So I'm going to change your rant again ASAP. I hope you would read read this message to that time. Ukrained 11:42, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

Company needs no translation but the tram system does, considering that it was opened back in times when Russian was still the official language of the country, and many stations still have bilingual signs on them. And stop being hypocritical of everything I do. капризная баба. --Kuban Cossack 11:58, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

Швидкісний Tрамвай

Kiev also has one but I guess it is not Metro tram since it is fully above the ground and partially intergrated in the city's tram system, rather than the Metro system. As such, it should be part of the Kiev tram article, we'll write at some point and not the Kiev Metro Tram or, if a separate article is written, it would be Kiev Speedy Tram. Am I right? --Irpen 04:17, 1 May 2006 (UTC)

See Template talk:Metros in FSU, where me and DDima agreed to take it one step further. --Kuban Cossack 11:06, 1 May 2006 (UTC)

Name

I renamed article to "Metrotram", because this word is in use anywhere (in article, at Schwandl's website, in Russian literature - I don't know about Ukranian but don't see any reason to name differently), and not two words "Metro Tram". --AndyVolykhov 19:39, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
