Community restrictions

The article Martin McGartland, along with other articles relating to The Troubles, is currently subject to active arbitration remedies, as laid out during a previous Arbitration Enforcement case that closed in October 2007, and was amended by community consensus in October 2008. The current restrictions are: All editors on Troubles-related articles are directed to get the advice of neutral parties via means such as outside opinions. All articles related to The Troubles, defined as: any article that could be reasonably construed as being related to The Troubles, Irish nationalism, and British nationalism in relation to Ireland falls under WP:1RR (one revert per editor per article per day). When in doubt, assume it is related. Clear vandalism, or edits by anonymous IP editors, may be reverted without penalty Editors who violate this 1RR restriction may be blocked without warning by any uninvolved administrator, even on a first offense. If you are a new editor, or an editor unfamiliar with the situation, please follow the guidelines laid out in the above link. If you are unsure if your edit is appropriate, discuss it on this talk page first.

FYI

I see on Talk:Martin McGartland that you think that the article should be deleted, well the process of this is found here have a read and see if you think that the article meets deletion criteria. My opinion is that it doesn't and the deletion request will get closed as Keep. Mo ainm~Talk 16:38, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

As the article is a BLP and the BLP in question is opposed to how the article has been written, then it should be either corrected or deleted. I have tried to correct it, but OF does not appreciate and understand the changes that are required to be made, as some one whom has worked in and with the security services the word "informer" is not the correct term to be used. the word informer means "a person who informs against another, especially for money or other reward, and agent is "a person who acts in an official capacity for a government or private agency, as a guard, detective, or spy" There is a total difference in the two. I am not the first to have noticed this mistake and i am sure i will not be the last, however i am not going to be changing the text again untill i have all the evedance I need. You are restricted to 1RR/week for three months on Troubles articles

Hello Neilduffy112. Per this discussion at WP:Arbitration enforcement, you are on Troubles probation for three months, which limits you to one revert per article per week on Troubles articles, until June 7, 2011. Since the article on Martin McGartland falls under The Troubles, this limits your ability to reverse the edits of others. This probation may be enforced by blocks.
