Brookie here - thanks for the note. Some of these articles are difficult to call - and as a new Admin I am still learning! :{{ping|Usee72844}} My advice to new editors is to not even think about trying to create an article until you have spent several weeks - at least - learning about how Misplaced Pages works by making improvements to existing articles. Once you have understood core policies such as ], ], ], and ], and experienced how we handle disagreements with other editors (the ] cycle), then you might be ready to read ] carefully, and try creating a draft. Add to that that you have a ] (which needs to be declared, btw), and it becomes very very difficult. Just read all the links I have provided, and if you have more questions feel free to ask again. Hi there, I saw your reply on page protection for ]. How many incidents should we tolerate before asking for page protection? Based on the last few incidents, it seems that the attackers are using only raw IP addresses to create defamation on the subject, which is uncivil and improper for Misplaced Pages. There are also no reliable sources provided. :Thanks for commenting. I'd love it if you'd add something about Lem and other Eastern European writers. I've barely read any Lem and I don't know where to fit it into the chronology. I am aware that the article is currently very, very Anglocentric, and this should be remedied. I think I'm going to wait another day and then put the rewrite in as the main article. I'll also put together a To-Do list and put it on the talk page. ] 02:04, 21 December 2005 (UTC)

Hello there | |||
Just recently I have been chucked out of the german Misplaced Pages because some people are starting to earn money wit holocaust. Therefore they invite their students and tell them how discusting the bad Neo Nazis are. This History for a German is a mine field but I am willing to explode on it because i am completely fed up with what is happening.In some kind of ] they manipulate
the wikipedia users that there are 10000. of Neo Nazis in the German Misplaced Pages.
Our past is dark enough but to make it even more dark is a very serious think without any moral at all because there is the indirect advertisment thought behind all these acting.
It is also strange that some people because they met other wikipedians in pub can promote to Administrators in 5 month. For example the above mentioned Solictor and Lawyer.
I am completely against Neo Nazis but because of massiv criticisement and to many google hits on my
Name in the www they found a reason to chuck me out. I knew that what I have done was a dangerous ridgewalk and I have lost it. They stick to tight together. I underestimated them now I pay the price for it. Hopefully I am able to start here brand new without causing any troble.
It seems to start good because for example at the article phenol nobody was bothered and asking about any legitimation to change something.

Hi Lectonar, | |||
The reason I nominated that page for deletion (I did not delete it myself - I'm not an admin) is because as I was looking over the newly created it simply looked like vandalism to me. You have to admit that it didn't look like a contribution worth keeping. If you want to make it a subpage of your user page you have to have the title of the page look like this User:Lectonar/PAGENAME.

Question from AkaIgnotum (11:45, 17 December 2024)
Hello Lectonar / Isochrone,
I have a question on how can I get my translation published as official articles in Misplaced Pages. I have currently two 'privately' published Finnish translation on topics:
- "Microsoft Azure Quantum" at https://fi.wikipedia.org/K%C3%A4ytt%C3%A4j%C3%A4:AkaIgnotum/Microsoft_Azure_Quantum
- "Cloud-based quantum computing" at https://fi.wikipedia.org/K%C3%A4ytt%C3%A4j%C3%A4:AkaIgnotum/Pilvipohjainen_kvanttilaskenta

- @AkaIgnotum: hello ,and a happy new year. Please see Help:Translation for further info. Lectonar (talk) 11:55, 3 January 2025 (UTC)

Reducing page protection for Appaloosa
I would like to request a reduction in page protection (Misplaced Pages:Requests_for_page_protection) for Appaloosa, which was protected by you back in 2016 (?), due to a reduction in disruptive editing and vandalism on the page from 2016 to 2024. Thank you! Obversa (talk) 22:57, 19 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Obversa: Happy new year, and sorry for the late reply: the reduction in disruptive editing and vandalism is the consequence of the page being semi-protected. Lookinig at the whole page history I do not think a reduction of protection will be helpful. Lectonar (talk) 09:56, 3 January 2025 (UTC)

Question from Usee72844 (20:44, 3 January 2025)
Hi my friend hope your well.
I’m trying to make a page for my client he’s currently a free agent but has played for football clubs like derby county Mansfield town Blackpool and so on. He’s flying out to saudi soon and I need a page setting up about his career. Would you be able to help me as this is the first time doing this.
Thankyou :) --Usee72844 (talk) 20:44, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Usee72844: My advice to new editors is to not even think about trying to create an article until you have spent several weeks - at least - learning about how Misplaced Pages works by making improvements to existing articles. Once you have understood core policies such as verifiability, neutral point of view, reliable, independent sources, and notability, and experienced how we handle disagreements with other editors (the Bold, Revert, Discuss cycle), then you might be ready to read your first article carefully, and try creating a draft. Add to that that you have a conflict of interest (which needs to be declared, btw), and it becomes very very difficult. Just read all the links I have provided, and if you have more questions feel free to ask again. Cheers. Lectonar (talk) 08:45, 6 January 2025 (UTC)
Question from Redpandaisonfire on Kneecap (band) (15:13, 13 January 2025)
Hello I wanted to verify the boycotts in this page in the political views section and have found a few sources where they have went against their words stated here I feel it's fairly important if we put in that they went against what they said i tried bringing it up in the talk page but have yet to get any response I have linked sources in the talk page but it seems largely ignored I would try to make the changes myself but I am unsure how any help would be great thanks --Redpandaisonfire (talk) 15:13, 13 January 2025 (UTC)
- I am not really knowledgeable in the topic, but I am not convinced it really is important enough to be included in the article. Anyway, you will need reliable secondary sources before you add it. Be bold. Lectonar (talk) 09:22, 15 January 2025 (UTC)
Question from CanadaMaple on Request for Page Protection
Hi there, I saw your reply on page protection for Chai Keong Toh. How many incidents should we tolerate before asking for page protection? Based on the last few incidents, it seems that the attackers are using only raw IP addresses to create defamation on the subject, which is uncivil and improper for Misplaced Pages. There are also no reliable sources provided. I am thinking a protection against edits by raw IP addresses would help, as the attackers always use raw IP addresses (usually from a Mobile Phone, doing mobile edits). CanadaMaple123 (talk) 16:07, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
- Hello...for starters, see our protection policy. As Misplaced Pages is the encyclopedia that every one can edit, there is a rather high threshold before we protect a page. About 70-80% of all edits are done by IPs, and only a minoriyty are disruptive edits. Lectonar (talk) 08:03, 15 January 2025 (UTC)
