The page was plagiarized from several other articles, including Military history of Latvia during World War II and Shyaulyay Offensive. It should be prodded for ignoring GFDL issues. --Ghirla 07:12, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
- Also, it lacks citations to back its outrageous figures on population loss. Somehow, I am not surprised. 81.211.60.42 (talk) 18:09, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
Needs a bit of work
Starting with occupation from 1944 to 1945, the source cited actually states:
- Latvia first gained independence in 1918. In 1940-41 it was occupied by the Soviet Union under the provisions of the 1939 Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact with Nazi Germany, by Nazi Germany from 1941-1944, and again by the Soviet Union from 1944-91.
It's going to be a long year. There's nothing that logically sets this apart that the Soviet occupation should be bifurcated in its encyclopedic treatment, that's another discussion. I may do some merging in a few weeks. PЄTЄRS J V ►TALK 21:56, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
What do you want from a propaganda article, anyhow? 91.122.170.152 (talk) 18:46, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
- I don't see any propaganda here.--177.177.201.78 (talk) 22:48, 15 February 2016 (UTC)
Time to move
"Soviet occupation of Latvia in 1944" would work fine, as "Soviet occupation of Latvia in 1940" doesn't have a range of years, either. VєсrumЬа ►TALK 21:26, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
- How about "Soviet re-occupation of Latvia in 1944", to reflect that the first occupation in 1940 was interrupted by the Nazis. --Nug (talk) 00:22, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
- Yours is better. VєсrumЬа ►TALK 04:05, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
- Done. --Nug (talk) 04:58, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
