Suggestion

In my experience here blanking your talk page at intervals does not make you appear to be a very productive editor. You would be better off learning how to archive your talk page instead. Use this link to find out how. Britmax (talk) 08:31, 10 November 2013 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License (CC BY-SA) and the GNU Free Documentation License

• Why is copyrighted content not allowed on Misplaced Pages?

Because content is copyrighted for a pecuniary purpose, while Misplaced Pages is a non-profit organization therefore can't access funds to pay for copyrights.

• Under what circumstances can we use copyrighted content?

Use of copyrighted material should be minimal and confined history, identifying copyrighted works, or to complement articles about copyrighted works, and ONLY when all 10 criteria (as shown on WP:FAIRUSE) of the policy for using non-free content are met. This is close. However, I'd like you to reread WP:FAIRUSE. The problem is, any content on Misplaced Pages can be copied, even for commercial use, so we can't just claim "research and teaching" as fair-use exemptions. You are close, though. I'd like you to change your answer to that question and if your answer is good, I'll be happy make the case with the blocking admin that you should be unblocked. --Yamla (talk) 22:31, 29 December 2020 (UTC)

Your recent editing history at Chemtrail conspiracy theory shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period.
