Hi, you shouldn't revert an article more than 3 times within 24hrs, and on ] you've come dangerously close to that. See ]. Thanks. --] 18:37, 18 April 2006 (UTC)

== Werner Herzog ==

Could you support your claims please? Every arguement needs sources. Francly, Werner's Croatian origin is well-known, while there are no traces (correct me if I am wrong) of his Serbian. Also, if you plan on staying in Misplaced Pages, you should Register as a User. Greetings. --] 19:19, 20 April 2006 (UTC)

I worked with Werner and he spoke about it openly - Salvatore.

:What you're saying may well be true, but there should be verifiable sources to confirm it (biographies, interviews, statements and the like). One of the basic Misplaced Pages policies, ] states, among other things:
::''A good way to look at the distinction between verifiability and truth is with the following example. Suppose you are writing a Misplaced Pages entry on a famous physicist's Theory X, which has been published in peer-reviewed journals and is therefore an appropriate subject for a Misplaced Pages article. However, in the course of writing the article, you contact the physicist and he tells you: "Actually, I now believe Theory X to be completely false." Even though you have this from the author himself, you cannot include the fact that he said it in your Misplaced Pages entry.

Can you show a prood that he is of Croatian origin? I think Werner would get a laugh out of that since it would be news to him.

==What Constitutes Proof on Misplaced Pages==
PROOF: . I believe you when you say that he told you that he was Serbian, but you have to remember that he's famous for making up stuff about his own life. Then again, you might be right--who knows? My personal opinion is that we should just leave it out of the article. Thanks. --] 03:38, 26 April 2006 (UTC)

Oh, come on. It's not going to do any good to just keep switching the information on the page, because people will just keep switching it back ad infinitum. The only way you're going to convince anyone is if you give them information they can look at. I always provide sources when I make a change, that way its harder for anyone to argue with me. The information that I found said that his father was Croatian. Its from a website associated with a university library so its pretty reliable. Herzog is a storyteller--he's made up all kinds of stories about his past. I still think we should just leave out any reference to it, that way there's no reason for contention. Thanks.--] 18:41, 26 April 2006 (UTC)

Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be ] from editing Misplaced Pages under the ], which states that nobody may ] an article to a previous version more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the ''effect'' of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you.<!-- Template:3RR -->

A personal word: I couldn't care less about his actual ancestry. He was born and raised in ]. His mother was undoubtly German and his father apparently mostly absent. Thus, he is at best of ''partial'' {Serb/Croat/Bosnian/Whatever} ancestry. And the only sources I have seen claim that his father was a Croatian. If you have any other sources, bring them on, but stop reverting the article in violation of ]! Thanks! --] 18:06, 28 April 2006 (UTC)
