No problem! I would've done the same thing. --]] 21:02, 16 January 2006 (UTC)

== An Esperanzial note ==
<b>Who:</b> All Wikipedians & Wikimedians
As I remember, the last spam that was handed out was on the 20th of December last year, so I think it's time for another update. First and foremost, the new Advisory Council and Administrator General have been elected. They consist of ] as Admin General and ], ], ] and ] as the Advisory Council. We as a group met formally for the first time on the 31st of Decembe. The minutes of this meeting can be found at ''']'''. The next one is planned for tonight (Sunday 29 January) at 20:30 UTC and the agenda can be found at ''']'''.

<b>What:</b> ].
In other news, ] has set up a discussion about '''a new ] policy''', which it can be found ]. Other new pages include an introductory page on what to do when you sign up, ''']''' and a welcome template: {{tl|EA-welcome}} (courtesy of ]). Some of our old hands may like to make sure they do everything on the list as well ;) Additionally, the '''userpage award program''' proposal has become official is operational: see ] to nominate a userpage or volunteer as a judge. Also see ''']''' for many new proposals and old ones that need more discussion ;)

<b>When:</b> Sunday 3 March 2019, 2:00PM PST / 1400 until 4:10PM PST / 1610
Other than that, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and wish you an Esperanzially good new WikiYear :D Thank you! --]<font color="green">]</font>] ] 16:57, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

==Rollback==

]
Normally, I'd do the same. However, if the page is so huge (as in this case) that having to load it an extra couple of times would use an unnecessarily large amount of bandwidth (my internet access is bandwidth-limited), I'll sometimes use rollback to save the load.

I reverted your edits because the page is not in need of general cleanup - it's too long and in need of dividing up along provincial lines, and tags to that extent were already in the article. ] 03:07, 10 February 2006 (UTC)

Please add your username to our ] so we know how many will be attending, due to the limited size of the cafe.
== Another Esperanzial note... ==
Hi again Esperanzians! Well, since our last frolic in the realms of news, the Advisory Council has met twice more (see ''']''' and ''']'''). As a result, '''] has been ammended''' twice (see for details) and all of the shortcuts have been standardised (see the ] for more details). Also of note is the '''Valentines ball''' that will take place in on the 14th of February (tomorrow). It will start at 6pm UTC and go on until everyone's had enough! I hope to see you all there! Also, '''the spamlist has been dissolved''' - all Esperanzians will now recieve this update "newsletter".

<small>(Delivered: 00:38, 10 February 2019 (UTC) You can unsubscribe from future invitations to San Diego Wikimedians User Group events by removing your name from the ] & the ].)</small>
The other major notice I need to tell you about is the upcoming ''']'''. These will take place from '''12:00 UTC on ]th to 11:59 UTC on ]th'''. The official handing-over will take place the following day. Candidates are able to volunteer any time before the 20th, so long as they are '''already listed on ]'''. Anyone currently listed on the memberlist can vote. In a change since last time, ''if you have already been a member of the leadership, you may run again''. Due to the neutrality precident, I will not vote for anyone.

Please join the LA User Group, ], for an afternoon of panels, presentations and conversations on the subject of sources, and cake (locally sourced), in celebration of Misplaced Pages's 18th birthday.
Hi Szyslak, I noticed that you tagged ] as a copyvio and then reversed yourself since the indicated source, sikhiwiki.org, was GFDL.

After looking into it some more and dealing with ], I think the source originally came from which is not GFDL, and was illegally copied by sikhiwiki.org. So I've put the copyvio tag back on.

==Changes to ]==
I was just looking at ] and was amazed at how logical and easy it was to read after you organized it by state and then by date, rather than by arbitrary dates, then states, then by alphabet. Brilliant! Recently new ] reverted all of your work without comment or discussion on the talk page or edit summary page. Since Sleighy88 has no user page and made all of his edits in one day, I thought he might be a bot or troll or something. Since it looks like you have more administrative experience than I, I would urge you to revert/replace/undo his changes back to the way you had them. ] (]) 19:50, 4 April 2019 (UTC)
:Thanks for the heads-up. Now there have been edits on top of edits since my changes were undone, so it'll take some work to make the article readable again. Who knows why this user prefers the older organization style, which I have never seen anywhere on Misplaced Pages. ] (]) 08:25, 5 April 2019 (UTC)

== Invitation to participate in a research ==

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Misplaced Pages, and what affects administrator retention. Changes to List of American state and local politicians convicted of crimes

I was just looking at List of American state and local politicians convicted of crimes and was amazed at how logical and easy it was to read after you organized it by state and then by date, rather than by arbitrary dates, then states, then by alphabet. Brilliant! Recently new User talk:Sleighey88 reverted all of your work without comment or discussion on the talk page or edit summary page. Since Sleighy88 has no user page and made all of his edits in one day, I thought he might be a bot or troll or something. Since it looks like you have more administrative experience than I, I would urge you to revert/replace/undo his changes back to the way you had them. Orliepie (talk) 19:50, 4 April 2019 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads-up. Now there have been edits on top of edits since my changes were undone, so it'll take some work to make the article readable again. Who knows why this user prefers the older organization style, which I have never seen anywhere on Misplaced Pages. szyslak (t) 08:25, 5 April 2019 (UTC)

Invite to Join WikiProject for Spoken Misplaced Pages

Hi Szyslak! I am Galendalia and I have revived the WikiProject for Spoken Misplaced Pages. I noticed that you signed up at some point to be a participant and as I am reviving this project, one of my tasks is to get the participant list in order. Would you please go to the Participants List and add your name and language(s) you speak? If you are already there and do not want to be, please move yourself to the inactive list at the bottom of the page. If you want to remain, please put remain next to your name (this way you are not moved). If I do not see anything from you by May 30, 2020, I will move you to the inactive participant list. It would also be great if you would be willing to join the task force for Pronunciation that would be awesome, as there are troublesome words we run into.

Thank you for considering joining us. If you decide to leave, I will be sad to see you leave as so many people have done a great job on the recordings and any work you have done makes a significant difference.
