Not the first time

Editor is imposing his/her nationalist POV ignoring Turkey's first participation at the Summer Olympics was in 1908. See Turkey at the 1908 Summer Olympics. Thank you for the kind words. Your interest in my articles is always very encouraging. In regards to the concerns you have raised...Aleko Moullous, the gymnast who was enlisted to go to the 1908 Summer Olympics never actually made an appearance. As you can see from the Wikiarticle of the 1908 Summer Olympics, it clearly says that Turkey's participation is disputed because "One Turkish gymnast was included on the list of entries but no evidence exists that he actually competed." This is self-evident by the Official Report of the 1912 Stockholm Olympics as it clearly shows that he enlisted but there is no evidence that he actually competed or even showed up to any of the games. As stated by the Turkish National Olympic Committee:

Moulos’un Londra’daki yarışmalara katıldığı, resmi raporda olmasına rağmen, Dr. Mallon, Moulos’un katıldığını gösteren bir belge göremediğinden, “Türkiye” adına yarıştığına inanılan bu genci, yarışmış olarak kabul etmemektedir. Buna rağmen, resmi rapor’a dayanarak, Moulos’un yarıştığını kabul etsek dahi, aldığı derece konusunda elde hiçbir bilgi yoktur.

Therefore, there is no evidence whatsoever to proove that Turkey made an appearance in the 1908 games. Consequently, the first ever appearance of Turkey in the official Olympic games are thanks to these two Armenian men. This fact is reinforced by the many sources provided in the article. Also, your argument regarding the participation of Turkey in the 1906 Intercalated Games cannot fly because the IOC has discredited it as an official Olympic event and the medals are not officially recognized by the IOC and are not displayed with the collection of Olympic medals at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland.
