Born in Mountkip or Edinburgh

A Help Desk requests sought a determination of whether Swan was born in Mountkip or Edinburgh. This source says she was born in Mountskip, near Edinburgh in 1859. This source (this source) notes that the Discover Scottish Writers series published by the Scottish Library Association identifies Swan as being born in Edinburgh. -- Uzma Gamal (talk) 12:56, 20 February 2013 (UTC)

Age

There are inconsistencies in the article concerning her date of birth and age.

The lead paragraph states she was born on 8 July 1859, but the Early Life section states she was born on 8 June 1959.

Also, the Later Life section has some redundancy with the Personal Life section. In addition, it states that she died on 17 June 1943 at the age of 80. Depending on which birthdate is correct, she would have been 83 or 84 years old Johnnyboy755 (talk) 18:05, 17 June 2018 (UTC)

Title of weekly

The article states that 'From 1924 Swan ran another penny weekly, The Annie Swan Annual.' The Annie Swan Annual was not a penny weekly -- it was, as its name indicates, an annual! The British Library catalogue lists two possibilities -- 'Annie S. Swan's Penny Weekly' (1889, etc.) and 'Annie S. Swan's Penny Stories 1-86' (1898-99). Without examining the actual copies, it is difficult to know whether these are the same serial or two separate serials.
