As an elderly man starts his truck in the early morning, he notices a bundle of cash on the ground. After retrieving the bundle and collecting more bundles of cash lying on the sidewalk and across the street in a park, he sees ] (]) car crashed into a ] with its doors opened and a duffel bag full of cash laying on the front passenger’s seat. He then finds Jesse lying on his back and slowly, silently spinning on a ] while staring blankly off into space.
Walt goes to ]'s office, angered that Skyler went to Hank before talking to him. After learning that Skyler knew about Walt’s activities before Hank was shot, Marie slaps her, despite a tearful Skyler's attempts to apologize. Marie tries to leave with Walt and Skyler’s infant daughter ], but Hank enters the house and tells Marie to give Holly back. In the car, Marie tells Hank that he "has to get" Walt.
Walt returns home late and posts a ] ticket on the refrigerator door; its numbers correspond to the ] coordinates of the buried drums. Unresponsive to Skyler's questioning, an exhausted Walt collapses. When he awakens, Walt offers to surrender himself on the condition that the money be kept for their children. Instead, Skyler tells Walt that they should keep quiet, noting that Hank has no evidence. Elsewhere, ] confronts ], now cooking and supplying meth, at his desert lab. She is critical of the poor standards and working conditions, but Declan rejects her suggestion to hire ], Walt's former protégé. At Lydia's behest, Todd and his uncle ] arrive and massacre Declan and his men before taking over the operation.
After ] with ] (]) in Hank’s garage, ] (]) gets into his car, backs out of the driveway, and begins to drive away; however, he immediately stops and frantically telephones ] (]) at the car wash. When informed that she is on another phone call and as he spots Hank walking out of his garage and talking on the telephone, Walt immediately drives to the car wash to catch Skyler. By the time he arrives, however, she is not there.
Hank will not approach the ] until he has reliable evidence to apprehend Walt, as he knows his career will be over once it's revealed that Heisenberg is actually his brother-in-law and wants to at least have the satisfaction of being the one to take him down. Marie insists on putting the DEA on the case, concerned over how they may respond if they learn that Hank hid his discovery. Hank agrees and returns to work, but before he can reveal his findings to his superiors Agent ] reveals that Jesse is detained and under questioning. Hank, realizing Jesse's connection to Walt and seeing an opportunity to get some hard evidence, decides to keep quiet for a while and asks for time alone with Jesse.
Skyler meets Hank at a diner. After greeting Skyler with an awkward hug, Hank tells her that Walt is a monster forcing her to keep his secrets and she is a victim. Hank formulates a plan in which she and her children move back into his house. Then, in an effort to build a case against Walt before he dies of cancer, he solicits a tape recorded statement from Skyler and expresses his desire to put Walt in ] before the sun goes down. After listening to Hank and learning of the return of Walt's cancer, she says she needs a lawyer. Hank tries to discourage her from taking this course of action, sensing he will lose his ability to control the case if lawyers are introduced. Hank unsuccessfully tries to persuade Skyler that their interests are the same. Wanting to protect her kids, Hank stands up and seeks Skyler’s assistance with picking them up. Skyler reacts to Hank’s gesture by repeatedly, and increasingly loudly, asking if she is under arrest, causing a scene in the diner before leaving alone.

In his law office, ] (]) is desperately trying to get ahold of Jesse when Walt receives an incoming phone call from Skyler. Fearing that his phone has been legally tapped by Hank, Saul advises Walt to not answer the call and remove the phone’s battery. As he hastily removes the battery, Walt expresses his anger with Skyler that she went to Hank without talking to him first. When Saul asks Walt whether he has considered sending Hank “on a trip to Belize” like he sent ] (a veiled reference to ]), Walt indignantly rebuffs Saul's conjecture because Hank is family and offhandedly says that it should be Saul whom is sent to Belize.

After arriving home, Walt collapses on the bathroom floor while Skyler is repeatedly asserting to him that she hasn’t told Hank anything. When he wakes up, they discuss the situation. Believing that Skyler has talked with Hank and has made a deal with him, Walt suggests that he surrenders himself on the condition that the money is left with her so that she can pass it along to their children. Believing that any deal will include a loss of the money and that Hank possesses suspicions only, Skyler tells Walt that their best course of action is to stay quiet.

A blindfolded ] (]) is driven to a desert site where ] (]) meth lab is located. Lydia has arranged the meeting to address a $50 million shortfall. "Buried" is the tenth episode of the fifth season of the American television drama series Breaking Bad, and the 56th overall episode of the series. Written by Thomas Schnauz and directed by Michelle MacLaren, it aired on AMC in the United States and Canada on August 18, 2013.
Plot
Late at night, an elderly man, collecting the money which Jesse Pinkman has thrown away, discovers him parked in a playground and absentmindedly spinning on a roundabout. Meanwhile, after his confrontation with Hank Schrader, Walter White frantically tries calling Skyler White, but cannot get through as Hank is already on the phone with her. Walt rushes to the car wash, but Skyler has already left to meet Hank at a diner. Though understanding Skyler to be a victim, Hank unwittingly reveals that Walt's cancer has returned and unsuccessfully tries enlisting her help in building a case against Walt. Skyler, however, suspects that Hank has made it a personal mission to convict Walt and worries that Hank may not truly have her best interests at heart. She then panics and leaves the diner.
Walt goes to Saul Goodman's office, angered that Skyler went to Hank before talking to him. When Saul asks whether Walt has considered "sending Hank to Belize like Mike" (killing him), Walt admonishes him, reminding him that Hank is family. Rushing to hide his money, Walt has Patrick Kuby and Huell Babineaux deliver it to him in seven container drums. He then drives to the Tohajiilee Indian Reservation and spends the day burying it. Meanwhile, Marie Schrader confronts Skyler about Walt's criminality. After learning that Skyler knew about Walt’s activities before Hank was shot, Marie slaps her, despite a tearful Skyler's attempts to apologize. Marie tries to leave with Walt and Skyler’s infant daughter Holly, but Hank enters the house and tells Marie to give Holly back. In the car, Marie tells Hank that he "has to get" Walt.
Walt returns home late and posts a lottery ticket on the refrigerator door; its numbers correspond to the GPS coordinates of the buried drums. Unresponsive to Skyler's questioning, an exhausted Walt collapses. When he awakens, Walt offers to surrender himself on the condition that the money be kept for their children. Instead, Skyler tells Walt that they should keep quiet, noting that Hank has no evidence. Elsewhere, Lydia Rodarte-Quayle confronts Declan, now cooking and supplying meth, at his desert lab. She is critical of the poor standards and working conditions, but Declan rejects her suggestion to hire Todd, Walt's former protégé. At Lydia's behest, Todd and his uncle Jack arrive and massacre Declan and his men before taking over the operation.
Hank will not approach the DEA until he has reliable evidence to apprehend Walt, as he knows his career will be over once it's revealed that Heisenberg is actually his brother-in-law and wants to at least have the satisfaction of being the one to take him down. Marie insists on putting the DEA on the case, concerned over how they may respond if they learn that Hank hid his discovery. Hank agrees and returns to work, but before he can reveal his findings to his superiors Agent Steve Gomez reveals that Jesse is detained and under questioning. Hank, realizing Jesse's connection to Walt and seeing an opportunity to get some hard evidence, decides to keep quiet for a while and asks for time alone with Jesse.
