Hi Ryulong! Sorry if I'm disturbing, but since you made , maybe you are an expert, so let me ask you a question if you don't mind. When I was a kid (in 1989 or 1990) I used to watch a Japanese TV Show (through Hong Kong television), I'm not sure if it's related to Super Sentai, but there were 5 or 6 characters just like in Super Sentai, and robots as well. And the Ending song... it was those 5 or 6 characters who actually played that Ending Theme (they were jamming like a band), so I suppose they were a "band" too, or something like it. Oh, and the song were sang by the female character. Do you know something? I'm kind of "desperate" to watch that ending again :(, however since I don't know the name of the tv serie, it's difficult to find it on youtube. If you know something please let me know. Regards. --] (]) 23:06, 6 August 2013 (UTC)
:This is a very good question. The only one I can think of that meets those requirements is Dekaranger but that came out 10 years after that time period. ::Usually I'm very good at searching stuff on YouTube and etc, but not in this case. That TV series probably has nothing to do with Super Sentai... but the characters had different colours too, and there were robots. Not 100% sure but sometimes the characters were inside a robot. The only sentence I remember from that Ending theme is "Memorikariii" (something like it). Sigh, I guess I will die without hearing that song again lol. --] (]) 05:23, 7 August 2013 (UTC)

i know this may sound selfish but i was wondering if i could nominate Stand Alone Complex for GA when this topic-ban is over. :And they're still quibbling so hopefully we didn't get your hopes up too much. It seems it'll depend on Canens himself providing a clarifying remark. ] (]) 21:23, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
Just strolling through and noticed you removed the Bulbapedia links at the bottom of the page of the lists, stating they are "not suitable". How did you decide this? Most of the sections are far from complete, and even if they were complete, a lot of readers would in fact be looking for information we don't provide, in which Bulbapedia can then expand on what we can't. If you are saying it isn't suitable as an external link for quality reasons, it has been discussed and the consensus was that it meets ]'s requirement of "substantial history of stability and a substantial number of editors". Just wondering your thought process on this. Thanks, ''']''' (]·]) 03:58, 9 August 2013 (UTC)
:Considering that the site's users don't have the level of editorial control that we do when it comes to new Pokémon announcements I felt it was not in our best interests to retain the links at the current time with the recent CoroCoro "leaks" as usual.—<font color="blue">Ryulong</font> (<font color="Gold">琉竜</font>) 04:14, 9 August 2013 (UTC)
::But that's the whole point. We aren't showing this information, so we need to link to a site that does. We aren't using it as a source, and we aren't saying it's entirely reliable information. Just that it is the best place to get more information on whatever they want. I am not sure I agree with selectively timebanning the site just because there are "leaks" going on. ''']''' (]·]) 04:18, 9 August 2013 (UTC)
:::Do we ''need'' to? Or do we ''want'' to?—<font color="blue">Ryulong</font> (<font color="Gold">琉竜</font>) 04:20, 9 August 2013 (UTC)
::::It's not like removing the links will stop people from finding the news anyways. It won't stop people from wanting to add it here. You are just blocking people from the whole of the wiki because the frontpage has information you want to ignore exists. Plus, the new information really only applies to the list of new Pokemon, but you removed the link from all lists. It seems consistent, yes, but doesn't seem fair. ''']''' (]·]) 04:27, 9 August 2013 (UTC)
::::Note that I don't really care that strongly about it. I just would rather the users have access to more information then most of our garbage lists provide. I also just wanted to see what your reason for removing them was, as it was against the consensus that they belong. ''']''' (]·]) 04:31, 9 August 2013 (UTC)
:::::They are some of the better sources, but maybe we could just link to the official website's Pokedex stuff instead? I saw a few of those links but they were malformed or whatever and not universally applied. But to be honest, I was simply tired of dealing with Black60dragon (now blocked for a month) and I was worried he may use the other sites as reasoning to push the bad sourcing from Serebii (and all the other websites quoting Serebii) that he had done earlier when it came to Horubī, Dedenne, and Mēkuru (that one's name is going to be difficult to romanize though).—<font color="blue">Ryulong</font> (<font color="Gold">琉竜</font>) 04:35, 9 August 2013 (UTC)

:And this is why you should keep your watchlist nuked for a bit (assuming that T Canens meant what I think he meant, and you avoid the ban). Quit thinking about the quality of the encyclopaedia for a bit and focus on your peace of mind. ] (]) 21:24, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

== Troubling decision ==
In short - No. DRN requires that both sides are willing to either accomodate and compromise or abide by a third party ruling. As your basis on GITS (as in the DBZ matter) is based on faulty application of guidelines, and you have no intention of ever changing your viewpoint on the issue, DRN is a waste of time and effort. Do not delete/redirect the Ghost in the Shell (manga) article again without seeking consensus on the talkpage there to do so, or feel free to nominate it for deletion. ] (]) 02:30, 21 August 2013 (UTC)

::DRN is not a means by which to prevent improvement. 'Compromise' should only be tolerated when it is what is best for the encyclopedia. It is also not mandatory to participate. ] (]) 02:44, 21 August 2013 (UTC)

:::: It basically is when you go with what other editor's have provided as a wonderful solution to use. I don't see how N can be debatable in a DRN, considering you acknowledge the manga to meet N. :::::The manga meets N but that doesn't mean we need to have a stumpy franchise article now. There was never any reason to have not had these pages meet the layout style at MOSAM and now we have a "franchise page" that doesn't support its own notability. We could have kept it as the manga page and the other things but you would not contribute to it unless the manga was separate and now we have all the history at ] which you basically attempted to make obsolete. If we're going through with this and you really want a list of chapters rammed up this article's ass, can we histmerge the list of chapters back to the (manga) page.—<font color="blue">Ryulong</font> (<font color="Gold">琉竜</font>) 03:04, 21 August 2013 (UTC)

::I do not understand why there had to be "Ghost in the Shell (manga)" separate from both "Ghost in the Shell" and "List of Ghost in the Shell chapters" so we may as well just get rid of the second because it was such a problem in the first place.—<font color="blue">Ryulong</font> (<font color="Gold">琉竜</font>) 03:11, 21 August 2013 (UTC)

::::: Layout should be a minor concern, while there are problems, they should never impact the coverage of the subject(s). The template is really minor as well. I'd just move the current GITS page to (franchise) and make GITS redirect to GITS (disamb) for rapid fire access till the underlying situations can be handled. ] (]) 03:33, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
::::::That last bit. Just. No. If you're going to do that we may as well just delete the whole franchise page entirely and just have an ugly disambiguation page in its place.—<font color="blue">Ryulong</font> (<font color="Gold">琉竜</font>) 03:36, 21 August 2013 (UTC)

I'm actually mixed on this move. Yes, it's on the box in English, but (as I'm sure you're well aware) the English and Japanese titles don't match, and I'm not entirely sure that the English appears on the spine of the case. Most importantly, this is not a case where the game was released in English under a different title and we can use that - neither of these games were released outside Japan. Therefore, if we were to apply COMMONNAME, I think we'd have to find out what the ''Japanese'' person calls it, and I know my eye is drawn much more to the large Japanese title than the very tiny English one underneath it. I'd also note the interwikis are also inconsistent. ja doesn't use the English subtitle at all, it transliterates the Japanese only, es uses the Englissh and adds a "the," and tl drops the Eva portion and uses the translated title. どうしようかな? ] (]) 04:48, 26 August 2013 (UTC)

:::But an ] is something that exists. '''And "Neon Genesis Evangelion: Iron Maiden" appears in English on the box.''' And how can you prove that the common name is Girlfriend of Steel? It's never been released in English.—<font color="blue">Ryulong</font> (<font color="Gold">琉竜</font>) 05:56, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
::::Well, do we have any sort of policy on what to do with titles of untranslated works, or could we avoid the problem by just using a romanized title, e.g., ''Shinseiki evangelion: koutetsu no gyarufurendo''? ] (]) 13:18, 26 August 2013 (UTC)
::::: Judging imports and fan community, I'd move to the romanized title would stop the problem and be accurate, but this goes against NC in some fashion because 260,000 each go to Iron Maiden and Girlfriend of Steel when prefixed with Neon Genesis Evangelion. For this we would end up deciding "no common name" exist despite a sizable amount at face value, but the secondary documents simply use the transliterated title and some state both. ] (]) 15:15, 26 August 2013 (UTC)

@Tarc and Hipocrite: —Ryūlóng (琉竜) 21:11, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

Yea, I'm out the door for dinner date but I left a message for HJ Mitchell, who is a fair admin and is familiar with Logan. IMO this is about as clear cut a case of baiting/stalking as one can get. Tarc (talk) 21:21, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
And they're still quibbling so hopefully we didn't get your hopes up too much. It seems it'll depend on Canens himself providing a clarifying remark. Tarc (talk) 21:23, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
And this is why you should keep your watchlist nuked for a bit (assuming that T Canens meant what I think he meant, and you avoid the ban). Quit thinking about the quality of the encyclopaedia for a bit and focus on your peace of mind. Guettarda (talk) 21:24, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
I've only got my regular pages on there now.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 21:26, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

Well it was a nice few hours considering all of the bullshit going on behind the scenes on the mailing list.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 22:08, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

Sorry that you died again. My email is enabled, so if you need something specific changed on a specific article, contact me and I'll review the merits on my own per WP:BAN and consider making the edit myself based on my independent and fully formed review of your proposals and stuff. Hipocrite (talk) 22:10, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

Just watch Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters and its related pages and Kamen Rider OOO (character) (maybe some related pages). The official trademark trumps a single frame from the TV show and a stupid fandom insistence otherwise.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 22:12, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
I was commenting more on a go-forward-for-a-year basis. Hipocrite (talk) 22:14, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
Those are really the only pages I'm worried about. Also maybe that BuickCenturyDriver/Don't Feed the Zords will return to troll List of Power Rangers Dino Charge episodes. ALl I do is update a bunch of episode lists because I put in too much of a complex formatting for anyone to possibly use on their own.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 22:15, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
Roger. Provide a list and I will guarantee coverage. I can do the formatting. Post the list to HipocriteRLWatcher so I can segregate the watchlists. Thanks Hipocrite (talk) 22:17, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
Salvidrim hit the wrong button on me so I can't do that atm.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 22:18, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
@Hipocrite: what do you want me to do again.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 22:19, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
Make a page with your watchlist that I can watch to figure out what I'm supposed to do while you're gone. Hipocrite (talk) 22:20, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
The formatting I have on List of Kamen Rider Drive episodes is unnecessarily complex though.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 22:26, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
Are you... challenging me? Hipocrite (talk) 22:27, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
Here's the thing. I update List of Ressha Sentai ToQger episodes, List of Kamen Rider Drive episodes, List of Yo-Kai Watch episodes, List of Garo: The Animation episodes, and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders on a weekly basis. This involves translating the episode titles, watching the little "next time on..." clip, translating the episode summary for a one sentence summary for Misplaced Pages, check who the writer is for the episode, and then make sure that people don't fuck up the formatting after I've made a new entry. I've already filled out the final episodes of ToQger and started up List of Shuriken Sentai Ninninger episodes for good measure, even though the titles are tentative and I don't like that color I picked out. Do you seriously want to pick up the slack in these multiple pages that requires knowing something about the plot and deciphering Google Translate's jumbled up garbage because the reading comprehension I gained in Japanese is somewhat waning?—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 22:33, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
Can I do that if my Japanese is limited to, basically the names of the attacks and defenses that a student of Aikido who has never traveled west of Hawaii would know? Wait, don't answer that, it's just going to depress both of us. Hipocrite (talk) 22:36, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
Wait, you mean episode guides don't magically appear on their own? :) Guettarda (talk) 22:37, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
I'd suggest some fanblogs to use for double checking, but I learned fairly recently that they're just copying what I had been writing for all of the entries. They're going to be totally fucked over after this case. Take that JEFusion and Orends Range.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 22:38, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
I forgot I also update JoJolion monthly.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 22:45, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
Best wishes to another good contributor that arbcom has dismissed. I hope to see you in the future. Hell in a Bucket (talk) 22:20, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
It's clear no one wants me around simply because I raised the issue that their 1RR proposal was already causing me grief.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 22:23, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
Having seen multiple socks stalk you I understand completely why it's unworkable...it sets you up to be never stop harrassed.Hell in a Bucket (talk) 22:26, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
Based on my sources from back when I got ArbCommed, you were likely the casualty of one arb threatening to blow the whole place up if they didn't get what they wanted. I don't know who, because I took a long wikipedia break, and have no idea who the majority of the committee are now. I can't believe I delayed clearing my name from the horrendous ClimateChange ban for GamerGate! Hipocrite (talk) 22:27, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
It's fairly obvious that it was either a full site ban or a 1RR ban was going to pass. But maybe this is a blessing in disguise because I was so fucking tired of updating those episode lists.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 22:33, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

Ryulong, I can't comment on any ongoing arbcom case or the like. However, you can find your watchlist key in preferences -> watchlist -> Near the bottom and email an individual it. They will then be able to view your watchlist. What I've not figured out is where you enter the darned thing. Tutelary (talk) 22:22, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

@Hipocrite and Hell in a Bucket: I emailed both of you my watchlist token.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 22:44, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

I found out where you enter it at. Tutelary (talk) 22:55, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

List of Ressha Sentai ToQger episodes (soon to be List of Shuriken Sentai Ninninger episodes) and List of Kamen Rider Drive episodes updates every Saturday (EST). The first updates at 6 pm EST and the other 6:30 pm EST (jumping forward with the change to EDT). The Ninninger page might need to have its reference links updated because I just copied the old entry on another page and assumed that the link formatting would be exactly the same. Someone's going to have to start a List of Shuriken Sentai Ninninger characters page at some point.

List of Garo: The Animation episodes and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders update every Friday. I'm fairly certain that these update around noon but I just get to them when I remember that the episode aired. Garo has hidden templates with instructions and such in them (check the writer, etc.) and Stardust Crusaders has all of the episodes preplanned but no titles. I think List of Yo-Kai Watch episodes updates on this day too. I can't remember.

A new issue of Ultra Jump comes out every month on the 19th so unless it's taking a break for the month which happens every so often JoJolion is updated this often too. I use this website to pull the new UJ chapter titles from and if a new volume comes out I just try my best to search for blogs posting them and the volume's title.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 23:00, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

I used to also update List of Yo-Kai Watch characters with cast member updates but I stopped caring a while back.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 23:07, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

Parasyte updates Wednesdays. I check this TV schedule for the next week's episode.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 23:49, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

Troubling decision

When ArbCom fails to take the world into account, it makes the angels cry.
A really poorly thought out decision. I am sorry it landed this way and the ArbCom will be sorry shortly when they realize what harm they have wrought. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 23:06, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages:Arbitration/Requests/Case/GamerGate closed

This arbitration case has been closed and the final decision is available at the link above. The following remedies have been enacted:

1.1)

(i) The community Gamergate general sanctions are hereby rescinded and are replaced by standard discretionary sanctions, which are authorized for all edits about, and all pages related to, (a) GamerGate, (b) any gender-related dispute or controversy, (c) people associated with (a) or (b), all broadly construed.

(ii) All sanctions in force when this remedy is enacted are endorsed and will become standard discretionary sanctions governed by the standard procedure from the moment of enactment.

(iii) Notifications issued under Gamergate general sanctions become alerts for twelve months from the date of enactment of this remedy, then expire. The log of notifications will remain on the Gamergate general sanction page.

(iv) All existing and past sanctions and restrictions placed under Gamergate general sanctions will be transcribed by the arbitration clerks in the central discretionary sanctions log.

(v) Any requests for enforcement that may be open when this remedy is enacted shall proceed, but any remedy that is enacted should be enacted as a discretionary sanction.

(vi) Administrators who have enforced the Gamergate general sanctions are thanked for their work and asked to continue providing administrative assistance enforcing discretionary sanctions and at Arbitration enforcement.

1.2)

Uninvolved administrators are encouraged to monitor the articles covered by discretionary sanctions in this case to ensure compliance. To assist in this, administrators are reminded that:

(i) Accounts with a clear shared agenda may be blocked if they violate the sockpuppetry policy or other applicable policy;

(ii) Accounts whose primary purpose is disruption, violating the policy on biographies of living persons, or making personal attacks may be blocked indefinitely;

(iii) There are special provisions in place to deal with editors who violate the BLP policy;

(iv) The default position for BLPs, particularly for individuals whose noteworthiness is limited to a particular event or topic, is the presumption of privacy for personal matters;

(v) Editors who spread or further publicize existing BLP violations may be blocked;

(vi) Administrators may act on clear BLP violations with page protections, blocks, or warnings even if they have edited the article themselves or are otherwise involved;

(vii) Discretionary sanctions permit full and semi-page protections, including use of pending changes where warranted, and – once an editor has become aware of sanctions for the topic – any other appropriate remedy may be issued without further warning.

The Arbitration Committee thanks those administrators who have been helping to enforce the community general sanctions, and thanks, once again, in advance those who help enforce the remedies adopted in this case.

2.1) Any editor subject to a topic-ban in this decision is indefinitely prohibited from making any edit about, and from editing any page relating to, (a) Gamergate, (b) any gender-related dispute or controversy, (c) people associated with (a) or (b), all broadly construed. These restrictions may be appealed to the Committee only after 12 months have elapsed from the closing of this case.

4.1) NorthBySouthBaranof (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is indefinitely restricted per the standard topic ban.

5.1) Ryulong (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is indefinitely restricted per the standard topic ban.

5.3) Ryulong (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is indefinitely banned from the English Language Misplaced Pages. They may request reconsideration of the ban twelve months after the enactment of this remedy, and every twelve months thereafter.

6.2) TaraInDC (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is admonished for treating Misplaced Pages as if it were a battleground and advised to better conduct themselves.

7.2) Tarc (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is indefinitely restricted per the standard topic ban.

7.3) Tarc (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is strongly warned that should future misconduct occur in any topic area, he may be banned from the English Misplaced Pages by motion of the Arbitration Committee.

8.2) The Devil's Advocate (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is indefinitely restricted per the standard topic ban.

8.3) Subject to the usual exceptions, The Devil's Advocate (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is prohibited from making any more than one revert on any one page in any 48-hour period. This applies for all pages on the English Misplaced Pages, except The Devil's Advocate's own user space. This restriction may be appealed to the Committee only after 12 months have elapsed from the closing of this case.

8.4) Subject to the usual exceptions, The Devil's Advocate (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is indefinitely prohibited from editing any administrative or conduct noticeboard (including, not not limited to; AN, AN/I, AN/EW, and AE), except for threads regarding situations that he was directly involved in when they were started. This restriction may be appealed to the Committee only after 12 months have elapsed from the closing of this case.

8.5) The Devil's Advocate (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is strongly warned that should future misconduct occur in any topic area, he may be banned from the English Misplaced Pages by motion of the Arbitration Committee. Further, the committee strongly suggests that The Devil's Advocate refrains from editing contentious topic areas in the future.

9) TheRedPenOfDoom (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is admonished for treating Misplaced Pages as if it were a battleground and advised to better conduct themselves.

10.1) The Arbitration Committee endorses the community-imposed topic ban preventing Tutelary (talk · contribs) from editing under the Gamergate general sanctions. This ban is converted to an Arbitration Committee-imposed ban. Tutelary (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is indefinitely restricted per the standard topic ban.

12) The Arbitration Committee endorses the community-imposed topic bans preventing ArmyLine (talk · contribs), DungeonSiegeAddict510 (talk · contribs), and Xander756 (talk · contribs) from editing under the Gamergate general sanctions. The topic bans for these three editors are converted to indefinite restrictions per the standard topic ban.

13) The Arbitration Committee endorses the community-imposed topic ban preventing Titanium Dragon (talk · contribs) from editing under BLP enforcement. This ban is converted to an Arbitration Committee-imposed ban. Titanium Dragon is indefinitely restricted per the standard topic ban.

14.1) Loganmac (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is indefinitely restricted per the standard topic ban.

15) Willhesucceed (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) is indefinitely restricted per the standard topic ban.

18) The Arbitration Committee urges that knowledgeable and non-conflicted users not previously involved in editing GamerGate-related articles, especially GamerGate-related biographies of living people, should carefully review them for adherence to Misplaced Pages policies and address any perceived or discovered deficiencies. This is not a finding that the articles are or are not satisfactory in their present form, but an urging that independent members of the community examine the matter in light of the case.

For the Arbitration Committee, Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 00:46, 29 January 2015 (UTC)
