ShowbuzzDaily is probably the next best thing. It updates with the final numbers as accurate if not better than as TVBTN. ] (]) 06:43, 3 February 2020 (UTC)

Not to bust into the conversation, but with what {{u|Brianis19}} said about TVBTN accuracy, I noticed over the years that TVBTN often made rounding errors compared to Showbuzz Daily. I noticed sometimes they cut off the viewers at 2 decimals but didn't round it based on the third decimal (e.g., 2.795 million viewers on SBD would appear as 2.79 on TVBTN)... But yeah I would agree Showbuzz Daily is the most accurate/reputable source for comprehensive ratings (not just sites like Deadline or The Hollywood Reporter which don't really update from fast nationals to final). However, you do have to average the 18-49 share from male and female, as the combined isn't given. As far as DVR ratings, everyone has been using Programming Insider since TVBTN kind of stopped posting DVR ratings this fall. They also have household ratings which is particularly useful for award shows, Super Bowl, etc.. They have everything but take a little longer to post than SBD; I would/will use either one. ] (]) 20:21, 5 February 2020 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Farine. I noticed that you recently removed some content from 2012–13 United States network television schedule without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Misplaced Pages with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the removed content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Farine (talk) 05:43, 8 January 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Misplaced Pages. Please make sure to include an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history. Thanks! Farine (talk) 15:09, 8 January 2013 (UTC)

Your article submission Parks and Recreation (season 5)

Hello Brianis19. It has now been over six months since you last edited your article submission, entitled Parks and Recreation (season 5).

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note, however, that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Misplaced Pages talk:Articles for creation/Parks and Recreation (season 5)}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Misplaced Pages, and happy editing. Beerest355 Talk 13:48, 29 July 2013 (UTC)

Information icon Welcome to Misplaced Pages, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in America's Got Talent, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Musdan77 (talk) 01:30, 1 August 2013 (UTC)

List of Snooki & Jwoww episodes

Hi. Thanks for adding material to the List of Snooki & Jwoww episodes article. However, in the course of your edit, you also removed a citation that was already in the article. The new citation you added does not include any mention of the April 25 date on which the third season was first announced, so there was no reason to remove that citation.

In addition, that earlier source was cited twice in the article. By removing the first citation of it, which included all the publication info, you created a citation error in the References section of the article, which you can see here. Sources that are cited more than once in the article use the ref name citation tag, so if you see a citation with a ref name tag, such as the one you removed, it means that it's being used multiple times in the article, and removing the first citation of it, which is usually the one that contains the full publication info, will result in such an error. Similarly, you can learn how to use the ref name tag here, so that you don't have to write out the url of the new source you're citing. It would also be appreciated if you include the rest of the publication info, at least in your first citation of that source, such as author, date, name of publication, etc.

Also, please understand that Misplaced Pages is an encyclopedia, and should be written with care taken in adhering to basic principles of writing. Phrases like "for a 12 episodes" are not appropriate.

Lastly, a minor point, but spaces do not go in front of citations, as indicated by WP:PAIC.

If you ever have any other questions about editing, or need help regarding the site's policies, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 16:49, 12 September 2013 (UTC)

Hello Brianis19, and welcome to Misplaced Pages. Your addition to The Crazy Ones has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Misplaced Pages, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. Request reason:

I first want to apologize to all the users for all of the copyright material I put on. The only thing is that no one rights a summary or fixes it that is one reason I did it. So I'm sorry about that. Another thing is that yes I have another account too because I did not know how to fix the problem and I was scared. So if wanna take the time to review my case just do so but I understand why you blocked me and all the copyrighting violations will stop and will right them myself.

Decline reason:

Firstly, I can see a large number of warnings on this page regarding copyright violations, and I would like to know why you ignored them. Secondly, it is not down to us to correct your mistakes, it is down to you not to make them. Please explain your understanding of copyright policy, and say how your editing would change if you were unblocked. --Anthony Bradbury 11:51, 15 March 2014 (UTC)

Request reason:

I understand why the copyright infringement is implied because it's like stealing information and should not be copied in any way. And should only right the summaries in our own word. And yes I've seen these meassages and really understood them until now. So I apologize for the vandalism and will not happen again

Decline reason:

The above appeal gives me no confidence whatsoever that you have understood - or indeed, even read - Misplaced Pages's copyright policy. Until you are able to convince an administrator that you understand and will abide by this policy, you will not be unblocked. Yunshui  08:24, 31 March 2014 (UTC)

Request reason:

Hello, I'm back because I think that this block is no longer necessary or disruptive because over the past few months I have learning more about Misplaced Pages's copyright policy and why copy right violations are bad thing because its stealing other publishers work and it's the copywriters property, and it's Misplaced Pages's most important aspects for things not to be redistributed. Also I am deeply sorry for what I did in the past, I regret all the violations I did, and I've learned a lot as an editor. Brianis19 (talk) 21:11, 27 May 2014 (UTC)

To convince us that a block is no longer needed, you will need to elaborate on specifics you have learned, and how your editing behavior will change. —Bagumba (talk) 21:54, 29 May 2014 (UTC)

Request reason:

The specific things I have learned is that you never copy and paste copyrighted content like plot summaries to specific episodes of a show, also vandalism should NEVER be done at anytime. All announced content should have it specific source of information on where at came I have come to realize how important copyrighted is important to the author and should never be exploited in anyway shape or form.

Decline reason:

Part of the problem in the past has been your attitude to copyright problems that you have caused. For example, this response was unacceptable. Given that your unblock request doesn't address this problem, I'm declining your request. PhilKnight (talk) 15:35, 14 September 2014 (UTC)

Yes I realized I did that and I'm very sorry that I did it my attitude has changed dramatically and I am aware of the Copyright Infringement violations I did in the past. I'm more patient, I will source the content, and my Block I think is no longer needed because I've read the copyright policy many times since the block and I think I'm no longer a threat and I have never hacked any website either. Thank you for your consideration. Brianis19 (talk) 09:33, 29 January 2015 (UTC)

WP:TVCAST

Please note that, per WP:TVCAST "main" cast status is determined by the series producers, not by popularity or screen time. Actors who are credited on-screen in the opening credits of TV series are considered to be main cast, regardless of how many episodes they have been credited in. Please also note that, per the instructions for {{Infobox television}}, cast are listed in original credit order followed by order in which new cast joined the show. Joe Minoso was credited before Christian Stolte and therefore should be listed before him. --AussieLegend () 03:56, 30 June 2015 (UTC)

Blacklist Season 3

Hi Brianis19! I just wanted to let you know that first of all, I am all for having a Season 3 page for The Blacklist, but if you're going to create the page, you need to add some new information to it. Other editors will probably tell you that there is nothing on the page so far that can't be found elsewhere on Misplaced Pages. There is plenty of articles out there on season 3 casting and production. When you look at the Scandal (season 5) page and the Empire (season 2) pages, you will see that there is A LOT of new info about recurring cast members, and guests, as well as information about production. I appreciate your efforts making the page, but could you please expand it just a bit?? Thank you! Rswallis10 (talk) 01:10, 19 September 2015 (UTC)

Ratings tables

Just over a week ago you added a ratings table to Scorpion (TV series) that failed to comply with several aspects of the MOS had other, non-MOS issues. I notice that today you've added a similar table to The Last Man on Earth (TV series). Please don't continue to use this code. It does not comply with MOS:ACCESS/MOS:DTT, MOS:BOLD and MOS:HASH, and contains deprecated and unnecessary code. I've corrected the code in both articles, so you can use that as a template, but the other code is really unnaceptable. I'm aware that it's used in several articles, but it really needs to be fixed in all of them. --AussieLegend () 13:53, 1 October 2015 (UTC)

Television episodes

Please be careful when incrementing the number of aired episodes for a series, and make that they are either currently airing or already aired. For example, Castle airs at 10/9c - it is currently 8.20pm EST, meaning you updated it almost two hours early, which leads to factually incorrect articles. Thank you. Alex|The|Whovian 01:20, 16 February 2016 (UTC)

Bumping this. Please educate yourself on what time episodes air, and then update them, else this can be viewed as disruptive editing. Alex|The|Whovian 01:12, 24 February 2016 (UTC)
Same case (again) with Blindspot (TV series). Please confirm that you're actually reading this and taking note. Well, either that, or you simply don't care? Alex|The|Whovian 02:28, 1 March 2016 (UTC)

I apologize I wasn't thinking. Brianis19

Splitting articles again

When splitting articles, as you did to The Odd Couple (2015 TV series), it is a legal requirement that attribution be provided at both the source and destination articles, something I explained to you last year above. You did not do this so could you please do so now. For more information please see WP:CWW. Your split also left the main article with 3 missing references. A bot has fix two but 1 is still missing. When you are fixing the attribution problem, please take the time to fix that as well. --AussieLegend () 16:47, 17 March 2016 (UTC)

Splitting articles again - AGAIN!

I have reverted your split of The Odd Couple (2015 TV series) again as you once again split the article without providing attribution as required by Misplaced Pages's licensing requirements. It was only a month ago that I reminded you of the need to provide attribution and to fix references in the article, and you did neither. Splitting articles without providing attribution constitutes a copyright violation, which is not permitted. Please do not split the article again without providing attribution. --AussieLegend () 12:24, 27 April 2016 (UTC)

Aquarius figures

I have restored the separate prelim figures due to Nielsen not releasing finals for commercial free blocks. And if you noticed the zap2it final figures is just the a single average of the two prelim hour blocks. Also showbuzz figures are preferred due to the fact they don't do two decimal rounding on finals like the staff at zap2it stupidly do. helmboy 10:38, 18 June 2016 (UTC)

Cloud 9

Please explain your removal. Your points make no sense whatsoever. It is not written from a fan point of view, its written as factual information about the store. The entire show is based around the store and it therefore relevant information. Its not different than a character, the store has a life of its own on the show, but does not belong on the character page, it is the only place that makes sense for it. - Galatz 01:42, 26 February 2017 (UTC)

First, you do not have real sources only excerpts from the episodes. Cloud 9 is only a setting. Brianis19 (talk) 21:41, 28 February 2017 (UTC)

A setting has nothing to do with it not being notable. Springfield is just a setting on the Simpsons, Stars Hollow is just a setting on the Gilmore Girls, or more similarly Fox River State Penitentiary is just a setting on Prison Break. Just because its a section of the article rather than its own article, it doesn't make it any less notable because its too small for its own article. Additionally if you have an issue with the references then fix it, don't delete it. I have added a couple other sources for now as well, feel free to add more if thats your issue. - Galatz 02:02, 1 March 2017 (UTC)

Thank you. I'll add the section to the Production section to make it look better after The Mindy Project crossover. Brianis19 (talk) 03:23, 1 March 2017 (UTC)

keeping MOS:CURLY in mind when adding ratings for TV shows

Hi,

I notice you add a lot of ratings info to television show pages, such as here. I was wondering if you knew about the MOS:CURLY guideline, because in pretty much every rating I've seen you add, you've used curly quotes instead of straight quotes.

Anyway, just wanted to bring that to your attention in case you didn't realize we should be swapping out the curly ones when adding content. —Joeyconnick (talk) 05:09, 7 March 2017 (UTC)

Just a heads up / A small request

Hey there, I notice you seem to be the person who always updates episode counts and all that for when a show airs a new episode. However, I ask you not to worry about Bones next week. It's the series finale, and I'd really like to be the one to do it as I've been the top Bones wiki contributor and I used to make the updates for certain shows (like Bones) live, but now I just wait until the morning after if they need updating. Unless you're a fan too, but it seems you update for basically every network TV series, so maybe you update shows you don't watch, I don't know. Let me know. Thank you. Drovethrughosts (talk) 13:39, 22 March 2017 (UTC)

Briannis, once again, please refrain from using "follow-up", a meaningless term, on the 2016-17 TV schedule. Do you work for the useless TVbyTheNumbers web site and are trying to promote their less accurate broadcast finals? And you have NO right or reason to force a change once a editor has added ratings to a episode. List of programs broadcast by American Broadcasting Company

There is currently a dispute on List of programs broadcast by American Broadcasting Company regarding the placement of General Hospital. Being their own genre, soap operas have always been listed in a Soap Opera section (as is also done on lists for CBS and NBC shows and other networks). Former soaps are also been listed in their own category on these pages (and continue to be on the ABC list). Famousbirthdays.com as a source

Hi Brianis19. I noticed that you recently used famousbirthdays.com as a source for information in a biography article, Nico Santos (actor). Please note that there is general consensus that famousbirthdays.com does not meet the reliable sourcing criteria for the inclusion of personal information in such articles. (See Misplaced Pages:Reliable_sources/Noticeboard/Archive_153#Is_famousbirthdays.com_a_reliable_source_for_personal_information). If you disagree, let's discuss it. Thanks. --Ronz (talk) 21:15, 3 January 2018 (UTC)

24 Hours

Hello, I was just wondering how you found the nightly rank for Gordon's 24 Hours to Hell and Back, as I have no clue where that would be located and it's not in the source. Thanks. Magitroopa (talk) 01:41, 11 August 2018 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) @Brianis19: hope you don't mind but @Magitroopa: the nightly rankings are based on the same source. The show with the highest rating would be #1 on the nightly rank. For example in this most recent Wednesday it would be it would be Big Brother because it has the highest number of viewers and the highest rating/share. So the next highest show would be the #2 slot again in this case it would be the CMA Fest. If you continue going down the list Gordon's 24 Hours to Hell and Back is the fourth rated. Hope this cleared up any confusion and let me know if you have more questions! TheDoctorWho (talk) 02:15, 11 August 2018 (UTC)

Copying within Misplaced Pages

You have been informed at least three times before to read and follow WP:CWW. So once again ... you must give attribution when copying content from other Misplaced Pages articles as you did at NCIS: New Orleans (season 5). Repeatedly refusing to give attribution can get you blocked from editing. Bennv3771 (talk) 08:44, 25 September 2018 (UTC)

Please be aware that copying within Misplaced Pages without giving proper attribution is a copyright violation. You said in your previous unblock request that you've "read the copyright policy many times" yet this is the fourth time since your unblocked that an editor is telling you to read and follow WP:CWW. Bennv3771 (talk) 08:55, 25 September 2018 (UTC)

My apologies it was not my intention. Brianis19 (talk) 23:36, 25 September 2018 (UTC)

Recent Edit - May 2019

Information icon Hi, I'm GUtt01. An edit you made to America's Got Talent has been reverted due to a consensus over how the "For/About" template in article is used. It is the general consensus that such templates are not used to highlight an article concerning an upcoming/currently broadcasting season of a TV program, hence you're recent edit to do this was reverted to fall in line with this consensus. Please be careful not to make this mistake again. Thank you. GUtt01 (talk) 15:52, 20 May 2019 (UTC)

TV by the Numbers

This Archived 2020-02-01 at the Wayback Machine. So what will be happening here with shows like Gordon Ramsay's 24 Hours to Hell and Back that uses TVbtN for viewership? Will sites like Showbuzz Daily be using the shows now or no? I'm not that knowledgeable with what sites get what ratings. :P Magitroopa (talk) 02:33, 2 February 2020 (UTC)

ShowbuzzDaily is probably the next best thing. It updates with the final numbers as accurate if not better than as TVBTN. Brianis19 (talk) 06:43, 3 February 2020 (UTC)

Not to bust into the conversation, but with what Brianis19 said about TVBTN accuracy, I noticed over the years that TVBTN often made rounding errors compared to Showbuzz Daily. Your submission at Articles for creation: List of The Resident episodes (February 8)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Robert McClenon was: This draft is a request to spin out an article. Proposals to spin out a topic from an article into another stand-alone article should be discussed at the talk page of the existing article, unless the draft satisfies a special notability guide. If the draft satisfies a special notability guide, please identify the notability criterion with a reliable source. This does not mean that the draft should be spun out, and it does not mean that the draft should not be spun out. It does mean that discussion should be on the talk page of the existing article. (If this draft is resubmitted without discussion on the talk page of the existing article and does not satisfy a special notability guide, it may be Rejected or nominated for deletion.) Discuss at Talk:The Resident (TV series). Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. Your draft article, Draft:List of The Resident episodes

Hello, Brianis19. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "List of The Resident episodes".

In accordance with our policy that Misplaced Pages is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Why the UNDOs?

I would like to know why my additions were undone on Masters of Illusion TV page. Were my references not valid? Were the edits incorrect? Waltp9999 (talk) 19:05, 20 October 2020 (UTC)

Because the "Series Overview" table covers how many seasons its been on The CW. Brianis19 (talk) 23:55, 23 October 2020 (UTC)

But if I'm looking for a specific CW series it's not readily apparent which season I should be looking at. Adding the seasons as I did makes it simple and follows both IMDB and the CWTV site. Since the added info is helpful and follows the official information stated, it makes sense to coordinate the wiki list with these other lists. Waltp (talk) 09:05, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
