You have made several edits that do not appear constructive to me, which I have reverted or partially reverted because I think I see problems in them and I do not understand why you are making these edits. This is the second time that you've replied to me, I don't understand why you have made the effort to go through all my contributions. My original reason for editing the Philo Farnsworth page is because the John Logie Baird page was linked directly to Philo Farnsworth in the first sentence which caused annoyance for me (before my edit last month). The English version of this site is mainly populated by Americans (I'm assuming), which causes biased articles.

You mentioned my edit on the Alexander Graham Bell page for including his Scottish heritage in the article, yet on pages like this his American heritage is mentioned (Which I don't have a problem with) despite him later moving to England. (]) ] (]) 15:02, 7 September 2013 (UTC)

WP:BLP violations and other poor sourcing issues

Hello, Atotalstranger. I was initially coming to your talk page to state that you need to stop (per WP:BLP) adding poor sources to articles of living persons, like you did here (though you removed that link soon afterward without removing the text) and here and recently at other articles. However, looking into your talk page history (scrolling down), I see that you have been warned about similar matters...but regarding deceased people. Because of the living person aspect, I am taking this topic to the WP:BLP noticeboard so that you may understand the WP:BLP policy. Also, even edits such this one to an article about a deceased person is unacceptable because the source is poor/unreliable. Flyer22 (talk) 20:12, 30 October 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Sulphuri acid

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Misplaced Pages. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Sulphuri acid requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Misplaced Pages:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Rarkenin (talk) 17:23, 14 December 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:CalvinHarris.jpg

A tag has been placed on File:CalvinHarris.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Misplaced Pages takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Replaceable fair use File:CalvinHarris.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:CalvinHarris.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Misplaced Pages. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — CactusWriter 16:47, 28 December 2013 (UTC)

Skyfall

You are engaged in an edit war. Stop now. I have already told you to look at WP:BRD. Your Bold edit was Reverted. You now need to Discuss, and not edit war. Your edit was reverted partly because it is a poor, poor edit that introduces an error to the very first line of the article, and therefore is hardly considered an improvement. - SchroCat (talk) 13:54, 24 February 2014 (UTC)

What sort of editor are you that you carry on trying to force your opinion into an article when someone has already told you IT CONTAINS ERRORS. It's a poor and petty route you are taking and you seem to be failing a basic competence test with such poor proactice. - SchroCat (talk) 14:30, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
What is the error? I see no error in the edit I made, standard wiki film opening is "Film Name" "Year" "Country" "Genre", you'll see this in nearly every film you read about on wiki. To intentionally disregard it on this particular film is odd. Atotalstranger (talk) 14:34, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
If you lack understanding in a subject you really should not be edit warring over your preferred version. - SchroCat (talk) 14:46, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
Stranger, you need to stop edit warring right now. It was bad enough before, but you breaching WP:3RR, which can lead to a block. - SchroCat (talk) 14:56, 24 February 2014 (UTC)
I see you have chosen to delete my warning. This doesn't altogether bother me, but unfortunately for you, this leaves a diff which has helped to contribute to this which you are now part of. Feel free to justify there as to why you have been so disruptive. Cassianto (talk) 15:21, 24 February 2014 (UTC)

We noticed though that when you edited Ben Lamb (actor), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The White Queen (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Nomination of Ben Lamb (actor) for deletion

The article will be discussed at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Ben Lamb (actor) (2nd nomination) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

By the way, it appears that you copied the text of this directly from User:Davidwr/Ben Lamb (actor). As a result, an administrator is going to have to come in and merge the histories of the two pages. Also, since there is essentially no new information there since the last AFD, it is likely that the page will be re-deleted unless it is improved in the next 7 days. In the future, instead of copying-and-pasting material from other editor's user-space drafts, consult with those editors to get the page improved BEFORE it becomes and article, then have the editor MOVE the page into the encyclopedia. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 23:56, 5 March 2014 (UTC)
I thought it was removed because he was less notable at the time, but clearly he is more well known now after appearing in The White Queen and upcoming roles in blockbuster films Divergent and Insurgent.Atotalstranger (talk) 22:34, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
Also can you give me a valid reason why you keep deciding to delete this article?Atotalstranger (talk) 22:36, 6 March 2014 (UTC)

IMDB, user-generated sites and BLP

Please do not use IMDB and geneological websites such as houseofnames.com as sources in BLPs as they do not meet reliable sourcing criteria. There have been a number of BLP concerns regarding your edits raised on this page, so please do ensure you both read and understand the requirement for solid sourcing in biography articles. --Jezebel'sPonyo 00:28, 6 March 2014 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 31

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Misplaced Pages appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Human, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Extant (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of Jim Chapman (vlogger)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Jim Chapman (vlogger) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

TheLongTone (talk) 08:20, 27 May 2014 (UTC)

Ice Age Giants

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Ice Age Giants, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.atheistnexus.org/video/alice-roberts-ice-age-giants-episodes-1-2-3-of-3.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Misplaced Pages:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Ship pronouns

Re: your changes to pronoun usage on the Queen Elizabeth-class aircraft carrier articles and its ship pages: Per WP:SHIPPRONOUNS, either feminine or neutral gender is acceptable in ship-related articles, provided the usage is consistent within each article. This usage has been challenged before and upheld, the latest discussion being at Misplaced Pages talk:Manual of Style/Archive 159#. Thanks. - BilCat (talk) 23:37, 16 August 2014 (UTC)

Reference Errors on 5 February

Hello, I'm ReferenceBot. I have automatically detected that an edit performed by you may have introduced errors in referencing. It is as follows:

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, ReferenceBot (talk) 00:16, 6 February 2015 (UTC)

List of countries and dependencies by area

I undid you changes to List of countries and dependencies by area because you did not give an explanation of why you were making the change and the language there is already contentious so but that was agreed upon. I don't see how your edits were an improvement, please explain on the talk page and we can go from there. The US and China rankings are a pretty constant source of trouble on the site, hence why I reverted, not that your edits were trouble. XFEM Skier (talk) 22:16, 13 March 2015 (UTC)

Okay, I was only trying to make the cause of the dispute more clear in the footnote. Atotalstranger (talk) 17:53, 14 March 2015 (UTC)

Yoel Romero's height

Hey brother, a much more recent source stating Romero's height is currently being used in the article. Reverting this would constitute as vandalism. WWE Batman131 (talk) 16:04, 29 June 2015 (UTC)

But that's clearly not his height as he was at least 4 inches shorter than Machida. If his height was listed as 7 foot when he's clearly not we just put that anyway? Atotalstranger (talk) 23:01, 29 June 2015 (UTC)
4 inches shorter is your opinion, which with all due respect is meaningless. UFC's official profile states 6 feet. This was measured upon Romero's UFC debut and before each of his UFC fights, which are much more up-to-date than his Strikeforce fights. WWE Batman131 (talk) 23:52, 29 June 2015 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, I'm Vortiene. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Heavy metal music without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Misplaced Pages with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I have restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Vortiene (talk) 00:27, 22 January 2016 (UTC)

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Misplaced Pages, as you did to Heavy metal music, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. UFC 202

Please refrain from non-constructive edits like yours at UFC 202. That is pure vandalism showing up out of nowhere to remove content. Do it again and you'll be reported for such behavior. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 00:40, 30 September 2016 (UTC)
