== Welcome to the 2025 WikiCup! ==
==Keysanger is back==
Marshall, hello, please take notice than Keysanger has started -again- with his "clean up" editions in the War of the Pacific article. I just reverted its last edit, but I think this is just beginning over again. Greetings. --] | ] 01:02, 20 October 2013 (UTC)

Any questions on the scoring, rules or anything else should be directed to one of the judges, or posted to the ].
:Hello Ian. Yes, it seems Keysanger is back in ''that mood''. Sadly, I am currently unable to participate in the matter. For what it's worth, the article as a whole is in bad shape. Keysanger's edit is like throwing an empty soda can into a public dump.--] | ] 01:07, 20 October 2013 (UTC)

For the 2025 WikiCup, we've implemented ] to the scoring system. The highest-ranking contestants will now receive ] at the end of each round, and final rankings are decided by the number of tournament points each contestant has. If you're busy and can't sign up in January, don't worry: Signups are now open throughout the year. To make things fairer for latecomers, the lowest-scoring contestants will no longer be eliminated at the end of each round.

You are in danger of violating your topic ban, (<i>MarshalN20 is banned indefinitely from all articles, discussions, and other content related to the history of Latin America, broadly construed across all namespaces.</i>), whilst I sympathise that it was unwarranted and unjust, you are simply giving ammunition to you critics. I would suggest you redact your comments before others take advantage of them. Regards, ] <small>]</small> 13:40, 21 October 2013 (UTC)

:Thanks Wee. Aside from providing a quick suggestion to Keysanger's query, I made sure to only mention that Keysanger's edit (source removal) reflects a conflict of interest and likely vandalism. I believe this to be a valid exemption to the ], per the "obvious vandalism" clause. That said, I do not plan to discuss or write anything else in that regard. Regards.--] | ] 14:36, 21 October 2013 (UTC)

::Seriously mate, I urge you to walk away from this. I realise Keysanger is baiting you about your topic ban but those unaware of the history won't. I have stuck my neck out and commented about it at ] but really it is not going to help your case unless you disengage. I know how unfair all of this is believe me but really I am asking you to walk away from this before it ends in tears. ] <small>]</small> 10:50, 24 October 2013 (UTC)

:::The problem is not that Ed is unaware of the history. He knows it, but his grudge against me seems to be stronger than his role as an administrator. Will simply removing my two comments at ] really make a difference?
:::It's also important to point out that I have neither contacted Darkness Shines through e-mail, nor have I ever requested this user to be my "proxy" in any article. Keysanger is rampantly personally attacking Darkness Shines and myself. Why do these people always get away with insults, and administrators never seem to do anything about it?
:::Warm regards.--13:54, 24 October 2013 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages is first and foremost an encyclopedia that disseminates free knowledge to the public. Misplaced Pages is also a collaborative project where individuals volunteer their time to improve the encyclopedia, specifically its content and operation. Naturally, in settings where humans interact, disputes will arise and mistakes will be made along the way. In this carnivalesque atmosphere, it is up to each individual to best enjoy their time without infringing on anybody else's enjoyment of the encyclopedia. Be open to criticism (good or bad), maintain respect, always, and know when to seek assistance. If somewhere along the way you make a mistake, as we all do, remember to learn from past errors, become a better person at present, and move on to an even greater future—love yourself, be courteous, laugh a little. Welcome to the 2025 WikiCup!

Happy New Year and Happy New WikiCup! The 2025 competition has just begun and all article creators, expanders, improvers and reviewers are welcome to take part. Even if you are a novice editor, we hope the WikiCup will give you a chance to improve your editing skills as you go. If you have already signed up, your submissions page can be found here. If you have not yet signed up, you can add your name here and the judges will set up your submissions page ready for you to take part. Any questions on the scoring, rules or anything else should be directed to one of the judges, or posted to the WikiCup talk page.

For the 2025 WikiCup, we've implemented several changes to the scoring system. The highest-ranking contestants will now receive tournament points at the end of each round, and final rankings are decided by the number of tournament points each contestant has. If you're busy and can't sign up in January, don't worry: Signups are now open throughout the year. To make things fairer for latecomers, the lowest-scoring contestants will no longer be eliminated at the end of each round.

The first round will end on 26 February. The judges for the WikiCup this year are: Cwmhiraeth (talk · contribs · email), Epicgenius (talk · contribs · email), Frostly (talk · contribs · email), Guerillero (talk · contribs · email) and Lee Vilenski (talk · contribs · email).
