You seem to know your way around Misplaced Pages, so surely you know at this point that misleading edit summaries are frowned upon. With , you removed the term "white nationalist", even though that's how the subject of the article is described in numerous sources, and in fact, is the main reason he's notable enough to merit his own article in Misplaced Pages. But in your edit summary, you simple wrote "badly worded." That's not helpful, and could be construed as you trying to mask the real effect of your edit, which was to remove what, in your opinion, is a pejorative term, but is actually how Jared Taylor is described first and foremost. ] (]) 18:56, 7 February 2016 (UTC)

I was quite interested to see the pictures while doing Commons patrol - I'd never known that Kipling lived in the US. (And I was just up that way a couple of years ago - had we but known it was in the neighborhood we might have made a trip to see it.)

To your point about the map; I'm not sure there's a good way to resize it. It's a problem I've run into with a number of the "vertical" states, if you will - like Delaware or New Hampshire, for instance - that their thumbnail maps take up rather a lot of space. I'll play around a bit with the maps and see if anything can be done. It might also be worth leaving a note over at ]; they probably have more/better answers than I.

I feel that an indefinite block is a little harsh on a long term editor's otherwise clean record. I see that you have revisited this situation after a year, during which time you have apparently respected the block. With these two things in mind, I am unblocking you.

::The NRHP guys gave me a parameter {{para|map_width}} that fixed things nicely, as you can see if you look at the article. ] (]) 01:35, 29 April 2016 (UTC)
However, it is really rather only those things which merit your unblock, in my opinion. Behaviourally and technically speaking, there is nothing to suggest that the accounts which were marked as confirmed as yours were operated by more than one individual, and your recent comments barely demonstrate any understanding as to why what you were doing was unacceptable, and acknowledgement and ownership thereof. The fact that you have respected the initial block is commendable, but there almost certainly won't be another chance should this happen again. Stick to this account as you say, and good luck. ] (]) 22:12, 1 June 2013 (UTC)}}

I am here to report the misconduct of transportation management in East Africa especially Uganda.
Bollore Logistics is a leading African clearing and forwarding company that clears almost 90% of the goods imported in Africa and 70% of the Cargo exported out of Africa. So in this case Bollore has a lot of cargo to transport and this should be a profit to the company, but it's very unfortunate that the people in transport management chose to freeze Bollore trucks from carrying cargo and they give the cargo to private transporters.
Mr. Anthony Small the operations manager Uganda / Southern Sudan is the man trying to breakdown transport and logistics in Bollore so that he can benefit from hired transporters. Unfortunately he informs our superiors in France that transport in Bollore doesn't work, but this all a lie, he is creating away to make his own money out of transport by hiring cheap transporters.
This is my personal email address ltalemwa03@gmail.com and i am writing to notify our superiors about the situation in transport section in East Africa.
For any further information in regards to this information, please I am available on this and my mobile number (+254-780-726-756).

:]: The 30,000 hours WAS spread over 34 years, after all. That works out to 909 hours/year, or about 2.4 hours a day, every day, for that period of time. That's not too far from the truth, I think, though I can't show any references to independently published ]. I don't even have any logbooks, dammit. I've changed the 30,000 to 20,000, which works out to a little less than two hours per day (it goes without saying that "over 20,000" includes "over 30,000", and even "over 100,000"). And of course I don't know if it's legit to count as "at the keyboard" all the time I've spent dozing in front of various monitors. Never wanting to confuse any reader, I've also changed "at the keyboard" to something more specific.

:::::::::] Yes, I like the Unicomp very well. It is a no-nonsense keyboard suited to fast, accurate typing. The noise is definitely there, but it doesn't bother me in the least. It has the normal complement of keys, but sometimes I wish it had Volume Up and Volume Down keys as found on many other keyboards. The lack of them is a small price to pay for the crisp action and high accuracy of the keyboard. Thanks for pointing me to the Sheldrake stuff. I'll check it out as soon as I'm done here. :::::::::: I miss those loud things; they make typing almost a sport, or at least, a "sport" in the sense that NASCAR is a sport anyhoo. Yes, the key difficulty here is, will our beloved woo-fighters ever admit that whether someone is, or is not, called a particular job-title in the press... has ''nothing'' to do with science? Even when the title is 'biologist' or similar. By the same token, musing about ''philosophy-of-''science, are in fact claims in the field of inquiry known as philosophy aka meta-science ... and once again, not science, and once again, ] is not policy.
:::::::::: There is a subtle -- but not that <s>redacted</s> subtle -- distinction between the science-claim that Earth and the Sun and the Moon and the Stars were created in 4004 b.c. proleptic Gregorian (*not* a claim explicitly made by the Bible -- though various theologians of the middle ages deduced such claims and then made such claims themselves), versus the theological claim that YHWH created the universe (definitely in the Bible -- and in no way subject to WP:FRINGE or WP:MEDRS or WP:SPOV).
:::::::::: JzG seems like he might be willing to admit that distinction, and he's the wikiKnight, so I suspect the others will follow his lead, if he does. Morphic resonance is almost certainly generally-considered-pseudo, and at best morphic fields are arbcomQuestionableScience though methinks generally-considered-pseudo is more likely. As for his "novel phytomorphology" it is likely protoscience aka alternative minority view, because it draws directly from the 1920s stuff. Sheldrake's position on consciousness/etc is a mixture of philosophy, and parapsychology... that will be the hardest area to find compromise, methinks, but again, not '''that''' hard once everybody agrees that some fields/claims/sentences ''are science'', whereas other fields/claims/sentences are not. I think that's the whole trouble.
:::::::::: p.s. The article *is* considerably better now than it was Halloween night. Check this out. I'm not sure if this is just a temporary lull in the ], due to ahrbcohm & callanecc, or if we are getting close to long-term stability. Of course, the cite for 'biologist' is now the "Dogs That Hump" article by a critic... which strikes me funny, even though it cannot be BLP-compliant. Anyways, there is some possibility that success will be achieved without much active help from you nor I, and for one I would be very glad to see it! Jared Taylor and misleading edit summaries

You seem to know your way around Misplaced Pages, so surely you know at this point that misleading edit summaries are frowned upon. With this edit, you removed the term "white nationalist", even though that's how the subject of the article is described in numerous sources, and in fact, is the main reason he's notable enough to merit his own article in Misplaced Pages. But in your edit summary, you simple wrote "badly worded." That's not helpful, and could be construed as you trying to mask the real effect of your edit, which was to remove what, in your opinion, is a pejorative term, but is actually how Jared Taylor is described first and foremost. Naulakha

It might also be worth leaving a note over at Misplaced Pages talk:WikiProject National Register of Historic Places; they probably have more/better answers than I.

Keep up the good work, and happy editing! --Ser Amantio di NicolaoLo dicono a Signa. 19:57, 28 April 2016 (UTC)

Thanks very much. I may take you up on that this evening, once I have a moment. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoLo dicono a Signa. 20:06, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
The NRHP guys gave me a parameter |map_width= that fixed things nicely, as you can see if you look at the article. Lou Sander (talk) 01:35, 29 April 2016 (UTC)

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Misplaced Pages:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Misplaced Pages:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Misplaced Pages:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Misplaced Pages's image use policy. VPB and VP squadrons

I have done up to VPB-199, leaving you to do VPB-200 to 216 and among the active squadrons VP-40 to 69, which should give you your 17 pages. Let me know if you're not going to do the VPBs as I will then finish them myself. regards Mztourist (talk) 05:59, 22 June 2016 (UTC)

Hi, I was wondering if you're going to do VPB 200-216 or if I should do them myself? Regards Mztourist (talk) 06:01, 1 September 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for asking. Go ahead and do them. I just can't find the time. Lou Sander (talk) 06:50, 1 September 2016 (UTC)
Will do, thanks. Mztourist (talk) 04:37, 4 September 2016 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Posit Science Corporation

Hello Lou Sander,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Posit Science Corporation for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Meiloorun (talk) 🍁 19:11, 7 August 2016 (UTC)

Agree with you on notable contributors in Ancient Aliens - so have added it in,.

Hello, I agree with your comments on the talk page of ancient aliens so have put in 'notable contribtors' under 'critical reception' as they were higher profile than those providing the critique. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.198.172.70 (talk) 19:49, 26 February 2017 (UTC)

Service award for article creation

You are one of a tiny number of editors selected at random from those who have created a good number of articles. There is some preliminary discussion about creating an award for article creation, and your input would be helpful. See the discussion HERE. The posts toward the end are the most germane. Greetings I am here to report the misconduct of transportation management in East Africa especially Uganda. Thank you very much Bishop kenana (talk) 10:09, 5 November 2019 (UTC)

Inactive squadrons

Thanks for creating the article and providing an excellent start. It is a topic of great interest to me and I am thoroughly enjoying learning more about the history of individual Navy squadrons every time I do some editing. I completed a 30 year career as a Naval Aviator a few years ago and I love the subject. Though I do have a good understanding of the history of Naval Aviation, my understanding of the wikipedia editing process is rudimentary. Updating information and including references is something I have figured out, but external links sections and volume table of contents pages are beyond my understanding.Navalaviator84 (talk) 16:13, 24 January 2018 (UTC)

@Navalaviator84: I replied to this on your talk page. Doing that keeps the whole thread together. Lou Sander (talk) 17:24, 24 January 2018 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:TheShadowComic01.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:TheShadowComic01.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 13:06, 16 May 2018 (UTC)

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Gulf Breeze High School appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Misplaced Pages's notability guideline. Thank you. Gab4gab (talk) 18:25, 18 September 2018 (UTC)

I'm finishing up the Gwendolyn Oxenham article right now. Be assured that she is notable and that the article will stand. You can see it in process HERE. Now was a good time to add her to the GBHS article, before I forget. Now that you have reverted it so quickly, I have to remember it again. Bummer. Lou Sander (talk) 18:32, 18 September 2018 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:NoxBaileyShield.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:NoxBaileyShield.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Misplaced Pages is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 11:19, 22 August 2021 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:PaterATyrrell.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:PaterATyrrell.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

 • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
 • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license.
