Before entering into ] television he was a bodybuilder. He was a gym master in Madurai for 7 years, winning "Mister Madurai", "Mister Tamilnadu", "kamarajar university bodybuilding champion", "All India inter university bodybuilding participant". His ambition was to work in ] where he couldn't make it due to his family situation. He ran a sugarcane juice shop during exhibitions and worked as a sack lifter in ] market to cover his own expenses. He also did many stage shows simultaneously.
