==What about "Jews against War"? ==
I''m repeating this again for 3 reaons; 1st: because it was deleted, 2nd, because I believe in free speech in what concerns to peace to Jews and all people on Earth; 3rd: because I think this might be very unpleasant for some known anti-Jewish anti-semites: (This was deleted by a user who seemed to be uncomfortable with its content, which, by what I know, it's peace).
Why is there only an English article called "The War Against the Jews"? What about Noam Chomsky, Norman Finkelstein, Israeli academics boycotts on West Bank settlements ("Judea and Samaria", I guess), Medea Benjamin and Liza Behrendt, an outspoken activist of Code Pink who doesn't even have a page on Misplaced Pages English!!! And I could mention tons of Jews!... They'd be "countless as the stars in the sky"! Last, but not the least, I only wanted to highlight the point that there are plenty of anti-war Jews, which is a great argument against anti-semites! (Jewish semites, since Arabs, Ethiopians, and even Maltese in Europe are also Semites, as long as the long-gone Canaanintes, Akkadians, Phoenicians, Sabaeans in Yemen, Moabites, Ugarites.... along with Egypt, India and China, where civilization was born in the Wastern Hemisphere, and the Hebrews were just a part of it... not that I defend that the Hebrews must become Arabs, for God sake - if I was not agnostic)! I think such an article (which I first proposed) would be a very good Misplaced Pages weapon against quite known anti-semites like the followers of David Duke or "Brother Nathanael" that blame all the evils of the world on the Jews. In Israel, yes, as the whites (I'm Latin, but I'm an European Latin fairly white(70%-80% European, 20-30%-else)) But that wouldn't mean that even if I was a British, a Dutch or a Norwegian, I should be obliged to support the Apartheid regime in S.A., which is what Israel is in the occupied territories I wouldn't agree (even if it's am earthquake in Japan)] (] 2:50, 16 July 2014
:Well, if all the Jews living in the West Bank ("Samaria and Judea") will be considered Palestinians will full rights as Palestinians, or if all Palestinians living in the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza will be granted Israeli citizenship with full Israeli rights, I'll reccount of what I said. But Jews in all Israel+Palestine+Golan are just barely 50%, and countless of them are radical Haredis... Is that the Israel that you want? Either an Iranian Haredi Israeli or a Verwoerd South African Israel?... Well, we already have a Verwoerd South African Israel, but the Evangelical Christians of Fox News think that in Megido, they will win the battle and kill all the Jews that don't convert to Christianity!... Like in the old times of the Inquisition here in Portugal and Spain! ] (] 3:00, 16 July 2014 |

Ambiguous wording re: underestimate
The stub reads: "Many consider this number an underestimate since many records were lost during the war, and since many births and deaths were not recorded in small towns and villages."
I find this somewhat confusing, as an unrecorded birth would either raise or lower the death count, based on whether the person was killed during the war or not, while an "unrecorded death in a small town" (meaning before occupation by Axis forces?) would *lower* the count, since the person died before falling into German hands. --Critic9328 16:43, 3 January 2006 (UTC)
possible overestimate because of census methodology?
Wouldn't using census records possibly create an overestimate of the number of deaths since some survivors would be loathe to identify themselves as Jewish to the new occupying armies, out of fear?"--Critic9328 17:00, 3 January 2006 (UTC)
Actually, a larger number have lower calculations. This list includes Reitlinger, Hilberg, Gilbert to name a few. The only one I am aware of with a higher total is Benz. Perhaps this statement should be, sourced, clarified or removed. Thank You —Preceding unsigned comment added by RandyRP (talk • contribs) 16:59, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
