Naeem "Nick" Noorani is a little-known authority on improving immigrant outcomes. He has become a self-proclaimed "powerful voice" for the successful integration of immigrants in Canada and bridging cultural gaps in the workplace and beyond.

Noorani is a Moslem last name of Iranian Origin. Nick is an Indian Muslim immigrant (historically his family probably claimed refuge in India from Iran some centuries ago); and now is a successfully naturalized Canadian citizen. He had to give up his Indian nationality as India does not allow dual citizen status and as such has no current emotional ties with his country of birth.

A social entrepreneur and an immigrant advocate originally from Mumbai India, Noorani immigrated to Canada in 1998 from Dubai where he worked as a Senior marketing executive for a multinational advertising agency. His first job in Canada was as a telemarketer for a local newspaper before getting into several publishing companies and finally starting Canadian Immigrant Magazine and authoring bestseller Arrival Survival Canada. He is also known for giving the talk "Seven Success Secrets for Canadian Immigrants" where he shares his own experiences as an immigrant with newcomers to Canada across the country. In 2008, Nick created Canada's first national recognition of immigrant contributions to Canada named 'Top 25 Canadian Immigrant Awards'. Winners in the past two years include former Governor General Adrienne Clarkson, former Governor General Michaëlle Jean, Ian Hanomansingh and John Furlong amongst others. Nick resigned from the magazine in August 210 to pursue his dream of himself winning the award someday.

His speeches are biased in his experiences as an Indian and he proudly badges himself as having no Indian friends. They have a heavy ethnic influence which many people Indian or not alike have indicated as a huge turn off. People have walked off midway attending his sessions and consider him of leaving them in a negative mode defeating the purpose of his lectures.

In 2011, along with business partner David Frattini, Nick launched Destination Canada Info Inc to roll out his 7 Success Secrets for Canadian Immigrants and 9 Soft Skills seminars Canada wide under the for-profit www.prepareforcanada.com brand name. In May 2011, Nick received the very award he created - Canada's Top 25 Canadian Immigrant award. In May 2012 under the Destination Canada umbrella, Nick launched 'Know before you go' seminars in India delivering pre-arrival information in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Chandigarh and Bangalore.

In April 2013 the Government of Canada released its official Guide book for immigrants - Welcome to Canada which had editorial content, advice and anecdotes from Nick Noorani. Later that month Nick launched Canada Countdown a How to immigrate to Canada eBook.

Nick is a public speaker speaking on topics of immigrant integration in workplaces and soft skills for immigrants.
