We've had many problems with people, purposely or not, using Misplaced Pages as a forum to spread unflattering, inaccurate, or libelous information about living individuals, a matter we take very seriously. I'm sure it is not your intent to do this, however, but editors choosing to edit sensitive and controversial articles like this one must take care when dealing with such matters, especially on an article that has been a trouble spot for this very thing for many months. You have edited articles related to Gamergate as early as September, when you were alerted about the sanctions on this article, so you have had time to familiarize yourself with these issues. ==Tabloids and titillation==
Hi Ranze, to reply to your comments on my talkpage.

== "Sheuneen Ta" listed at ] ==
Firstly, If you wonder where the bar is as regards something being a tabloid, well the reliable sources noticeboard is a good place to get a second opinion as to whether a particular new source can be treated as reliable or as a tabloid re a particular topic. I gather that some tabloids can be trusted in their sports coverage. But we don't need to set some sort of boundary between tabloids and blogs if we aren't going to use either, and as I said before if the tabloids aren't covering something then we probably should not either.

{{ping|WereSpielChequers}} ''quite tightly focussed'' would apply if it was just to the biography article which all the disputes are centered on. Instead it broadly applies to anything technological that could be associated with a video game or any song, TV show, person, site, event where gender might plausibly be mentioned in some form. If it's not so broad then no guidelines exist to know where I can step. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).

message to BBB

@Bbb23: first a public service inquiry here. At Talk:Men's rights movement/Article probation you had posted:

{{User:Ranze}} blocked for 24 hours for violating WP:1RR in the MRM section of Controversial Reddit communities.--Bbb23 (talk) 00:28, 27 August 2013 (UTC)
  • Your recent creation of a userpage for me has resulted in the category you've added to my userpage also being added to that talk page. I don't know if it might be possible to add a "noinclude" or full colon prior to the username to prevent that category transclusion disrupting the page?

Second: I noticed special:diff/863739039 and how User:RatatoskJones linked to Misplaced Pages:Sockpuppet_investigations/Tyciol/Archive#12_July_2018 and am trying to understand why you are being more assertive in adding me to Category:Misplaced Pages sockpuppets of Tyciol whereas you merely added User:ScratchMarshall to Category:Suspected Misplaced Pages sockpuppets of Tyciol. I acknowledge that you have suspicions based on interest overlap (is it uncommon for WWE fans to like weightlifting?) but I think it is useful to be more apprehensive about leaping to conclusions like this. What is the basis of your "proven"?

I appeal to you that I do not deserve to be blocked, as I am innocent and a good-willed Misplaced Pages contributor. Ranze (talk) 14:19, 17 October 2018 (UTC)
