:I don't expect to get away with anything as I didn't describe them as bold and efficient, and to claim that I am pro-UVF as you did elsewhere because I reverted your recent edit is piss-posh. Though having checked the Taylor source it's definitely not in it so it may be in the other, so I've added a request quotation tag to it, which is what you should do rather than your typical carte blanche removing of information that has sources attributed to the end of the statement. The same goes for altering sourced content with claims not supported. Though it was you who added unsourced content at the end of the paragraph. • Need to work on the prose here. Look at the first paragraph: way too many instances of "he was." That paragraph could just as well be turned into a list of events by replacing each "he was" with a bullet.
The prose has since been improved and the lead has been substantially expanded. A list of events is a poor substitute for prose in this case. BTW, please sign your comments.--Jeanne Boleyn (talk) 16:20, 22 September 2011 (UTC)

Just checking

"He was born in Wolverhampton to an Irish Protestant family"
Is this correct? I know that coincidences do happen, but this could so easily be confused with Billy Wright (footballer) who played for Wolverhampton Wanderers. Please could someone confirm the information about this Wright is right.
SimonMayer 23:46, 6 Oct 2004 (UTC)

This seems pretty authoritative:
Billy Wright was born in July 1960 in Wolverhampton, England. He was the only son in a family of five children. While he was still a youngster he returned to Northern Ireland with his family. In 1975, when he was just 15, he was arrested by the Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC). Some time later, he was sentenced to six and a half years to be served in the Young Persons Wing of the Maze Prison. In October 1982, after serving three and a half years, he was released.

Where is the sources and facts? Just saying it happened isn't really proof that it actually did, this statment contradicts the statment on the LVF page that the LVF have only killed catholic civilians and other loyalists, with the exception of on ex-IRA member the night Wright was executed.

Not on ceasefire

Just as a follow-up to my recent edit in which I removed the claim that the LVF went on ceasefire in May 1997. The ceasfire statement is available here and is clearly dated to May 1998. I just thought I would put that here in case the edit was disputed. Keresaspa (talk) 15:25, 13 May 2011 (UTC)

NPOV

Mabuska, you can't expect to get away with describing the UVF Mid-Ulster Brigade in such glowing terms as "bold" and "efficient", even with an (obviously biased) source. Please respect NPOV, no matter your personal opinions. And why have you replaced the sourced description of the car bomb incident with an incorrect version? Gob Lofa (talk) 16:29, 13 August 2015 (UTC)

I don't expect to get away with anything as I didn't describe them as bold and efficient, and to claim that I am pro-UVF as you did elsewhere because I reverted your recent edit is piss-posh. Though having checked the Taylor source it's definitely not in it so it may be in the other, so I've added a request quotation tag to it, which is what you should do rather than your typical carte blanche removing of information that has sources attributed to the end of the statement. Mabuska 00:40, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
A quick look at the history shows you're using Misplaced Pages's voice to describe the Brigade as both bold and efficient, as well as using other POV language e.g. "seemingly impenetrable". And why are you still insisting on a version of the car bomb episode that is completely at odds with the sourced material but just happens to show Wright in a better light?
