I'm wondering what the point of that was Corvus tristis. Formula 3/Three was always interchangeable, depending upon the style of the day and individual publications style guides, so changing it really serves no purpose and is not in any way "correct". ::{{tps}} Don't altogether agree that either version could be considered more common. {{U|QueenCake}} is correct that the terms are/were pretty much interchangeable. Some edits have produced anomalies with both 'three' and '3' appearing in close proximity which looks unprofessional and the page move is possibly one which should have been discussed before being implemented. Hey, Vettelisthebest here,
I'm not familiar with how to message somebody on Misplaced Pages, so I'll try it this way. I sense we have an issue with eachother, because you are all about saving server space, but I want the pages to look nice and orderly. I didn't agree with what you've done to the 2015 Blancpain Sprint Series page, but I didn't want to have the same discussion with you over and over again about how the page should look like, so I resigned myself to it.
| |||
Now you've also "messed up" (in my opinion, of course) the 2015 Blancpain Endurance Series page and I've spent hours and hours and hours to write all the results in the page, but in my opinion it now looks really ugly and messy. Can you please cut me some slack here and agree to the compromise stated below? For me it feels really unfair that I've spend so much time on the page and in an instant it looks all messy now. I feel unappreciated for the work I've done.
| |||
The compromise that I've thought about:
I want the page to look like how I've wanted it and how it was before you "messed around with it", but to show you how I want to save space, I have this example: Suppose if there are nine drivers who finished in 20th position in the championship, I want to replace al those nine 20s into rowspan=9| 20. I want to do the same thing with points.
| |||
It's of course not how I want it and it's not how you want it, bot in my opinion it looks good AND it saves space. I hope you think it's a good compromise. Please let me know.
| |||
(Sorry for my imperfect English.)
: I'm appreciate most of your work (not the duplication of the rows, because on this you wasted your "hours and hours and hours" of work), but it's not a better way to start a discusion to say that I "messed up the 2015 Blancpain Endurance Series page". It is very rude. All was made not only to save the server space, but to make page look much better now. Your compromise looks for me very strange, because we don't need to merge all nine position and points rows into the one row, nine drivers shared three different cars. ] (]) 02:50, 21 October 2015 (UTC) |
