Welcome!
Hi Skyraider, and a warm welcome to Misplaced Pages! I hope you have enjoyed editing as much as I did so far and decide to stay. Unfamiliar with the features and workings of Misplaced Pages? Don't fret! Be Bold! Here's some good links for your reference and that'll get you started in no time!
- Editing tutorial, learn to have fun with Misplaced Pages.
- Picture tutorial, instructions on uploading images.
- How to write a great article, to make it an featured article status.
- Manual of Style, how articles should be written.
Most Wikipedians would prefer to just work on articles of their own interest. But if you have some free time to spare, here are some open tasks that you may want to help out :
Oh yes, don't forget to sign when you write on talk pages, simply type four tildes, like this: ~~~~. This will automatically add your name and the time after your comments. And finally, if you have any questions or doubts, don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Once again, welcome! =)

Re: Congratulations!
Thanks. I'm going to start the current survey very soon (or you can do it if you want), but I want to be careful in how I word it because I'm worried about escalating this situation. You might know this already, but there was a really big dispute a while ago regarding Everyking's behaviour on Ashlee Simpson-related articles. This is an even more delicate situation than it would usually be, so I want to keep the focus of these discussions on the content of the articles and not Everyking. Great Comment
I have to agree with your statement on the Lou Albano page. If you ask people on the street what they know Lou Albano for they won't say "Being the voice on Mario once". Thanks for the laugh, Clay4president

Are you sure it's me? Never heard of the group, or the album! SkierRMH 21:13, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
NRBQ At Yankee Stadium
- Hi. You included this album in the list of missing articles about notable albums. I'm starting work on the article, but I'm wondering if anything specific led to it being included. If it was on a notable list of "greatest albums", that fact should be in the article itself. I haven't found it listed anywhere like that, though. Let me know, thanks! --Skyraider 23:49, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
- Skyraider - I generated that list from several sources - most of them are listed. The reason that it was notable was the critical acclaim that it received over many other similar albums. I think that it was from a version of acclaimedmusic.net that is no longer available. Best of luck!. --Reflex Reaction (talk)• 22:19, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
Spore
To me, calling it controvercial (without adequate citations) implies a certain POV, which, as you know, we can't do. If you'll also notice, the SecuROM article is almost entirely unsourced and unreferenced. Better to be safe than sorry, no? Dp76764 (talk) 23:50, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
Star Wars Holiday Special
I noted the POV tag on the discussion of the cartoon. The statement regarding the animation was irredeemably a violation of WP: NPOV so I removed it. I mention this to you just in case a bot reverts my edit (being an anonymous IP that happens to me quite a lot). Good catch! 68.146.64.9 (talk) 03:39, 13 January 2011 (UTC)

HI - I tried to add some info on the NRBQ page.
my stepdad, Bobby Burnett went to high school with Steve Ferguson and Terry Adams, as did my mother, her brother, my father and his brother. All have passed away now, including Bobby, who just passed on Thursday, July 21 2011 - who I believe was a ex-brother in law to Joey Spampinato as well- not sure about that lore.
So, while comtemplating my grief for my beloved stepdad, I remembered meeting and hearing NRBQ play through Bobby, who introduced me to the band in Louisville about 30 years ago, including Joey, Terry and Steve Ferguson. This had a lifelong influence on my blues tastes. And I did locate some articles that show that NRBQ- at least its founding members - were from Louisville, not Miami.
However, I am new to editing Wiki and I do not understand some of the editing tools. But I did the best I could and hope whoever originally wrote the article will forgive me and/or correct any mistakes I made. Steve Ferguson was a guitar hero and I helped participate in the fundraising for MERF (Musicians Emergency Relief Fund) in Lou Ky for his benefit.
Please forgive and correct if needed.
Thanks,

A community discussion has authorised the use of general sanctions for pages related to the Gamergate controversy.
The details of these sanctions are described here.
