| :Hi, I would belatedly (I've been unable to log into my account for over a year) like to protest this and request to undo the deletion. No, this would obviously not be on GBooks or Gnews or Gscholar as all of these resources are heavily Anglo- and West-centered, and in any case Russia in the 1990s was a mess, and not integrated into any of these (nor can most of the media from that era be found on the internet). There needs to be a sanity check - the ORFAF was the main film festival of the Russian animation community, and in the 1990s was basically the only one (there was also KROK in Ukraine, but that was an international one that just also happened to accept a lot of Russian animated films). Look at the - Fyodor Hitruk, Eduard Nazarov, Yuriy Norshteyn - all of them very famous directors who'd won many international awards. No, it's not very easy to find sources that are not from the website of the festival itself, due to the abovementioned issues - I found a short blurb and some video footage . But there in all the contemporary sources, there is no question that the event happened and of the importance of the festival in those years. I may have added some of the films from the short Comedy films to the main feature films, so I'll go through them later and remove them if necessary. I was wondering also if it would be better to convert the single year headings into the Contents subheadings. For example it is set now for 1991 as ''']''' and I think it should be set up as ===]===. It might save you some controversy in the future to link to that discussion in your edit comments whenever you change "humourous" to "humorous" if possible - as you said there, it is quite a common spelling on wikipedia. Perhaps that is where I subconsciously picked it up, or perhaps I simply thought it illogical that the commonwealth adjective would use the American spelling as its base. Anyway, thanks for correcting me. I've been using "publically" too - I'm just a trove of bad spelling habits, I guess. I do have a suspicion that those two spelling variations (or errors) are becoming more widespread than they were in the past. The exact location of the line that something has to cross until it ceases being a spelling error and becomes a regional spelling variation has always been a bit murky to me, but I guess I'll leave that one to the experts to figure out (even if I have the nagging suspicion that they haven't got a clue either). Proposed deletion of 2nd Open Russian Festival of Animated Film
The article 2nd Open Russian Festival of Animated Film has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Misplaced Pages:General notability guideline and the more detailed Misplaced Pages:Notability (companies)/] requirements. WP:BEFORE did not reveal any significant coverage on Gnews, Gbooks or Gscholar. At best this can be redirected to Open Russian Festival of Animated Film. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. - Hi, I would belatedly (I've been unable to log into my account for over a year) like to protest this and request to undo the deletion. No, this would obviously not be on GBooks or Gnews or Gscholar as all of these resources are heavily Anglo- and West-centered, and in any case Russia in the 1990s was a mess, and not integrated into any of these (nor can most of the media from that era be found on the internet). There needs to be a sanity check - the ORFAF was the main film festival of the Russian animation community, and in the 1990s was basically the only one (there was also KROK in Ukraine, but that was an international one that just also happened to accept a lot of Russian animated films). Look at the jury that year - Fyodor Hitruk, Eduard Nazarov, Yuriy Norshteyn - all of them very famous directors who'd won many international awards. No, it's not very easy to find sources that are not from the website of the festival itself, due to the abovementioned issues - I found a short blurb here and some video footage here. But there in all the contemporary sources, there is no question that the event happened and of the importance of the festival in those years. The awards from that year are mentioned in the films' profiles on animator.ru. Esn (talk) 00:16, 28 December 2021 (UTC)

Hi Esn! I was reading the article for Phyllis Eisenstein's The Crystal Palace, and checked the file of the cover image, which you uploaded (thanks for that), in the hope of identifying the artist.* (I'm cataloguing my copy of the book in my rather extensive collection.)
I noticed that in your Fair Use Rationale, you have entered "It is believed that this image is subject to fair use in the article The Hobbit because . . ."!
Doubtless you copypasted the boilerplate from another entry and forgot to change the title (easily done). In case anyone were to raise a quibble in the future, you might want to correct it.
