I felt it was more appropriate to write this here, although I'm not sure if you will ever read it. I'd just like to say that I have very much enjoyed interacting with you in this medium of Misplaced Pages. Although we disagree with some of the presentation of the vitalism article, I felt that it was very much an intelligent disagreement, rather than so much of the "discussions" I have been involved with here. I personally still have faith in the wikipedia project, or at least a determination not to permit further degeneration. Perhaps it will be superceded by future projects, but for now I think it's a vital resource to the general public - but I digress. Anyway, I'm sure we will meet one day, and I look forward to it. Take care Gareth, with respect, ] 19:59, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

I'm afraid I just missed you, finding your user page about an hour ago – as I did not once contribute to any medical article. The problem is that I may have to keep missing you, unless at some point the experimental democratic urges might get the better of you. Please do not disappear altogether, at least leave us the token of a memory that I was just reading. — ] ]] 20:29 (UTC)

You have been an inspiration to us, and an exemplary editor, always striving for a higher standard of documentation and fairness. Misplaced Pages has several weaknesses, and they have driven some of the best editors away. You are the latest victim. I hope you return occasionally and give us a few inspiring edits and comments to keep us on track. Thanks so much for the barnstar! I hope that I can become worthy of the honor. Respectfully yours, Paul Lee. -- ] 20:44, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
