Hi. I probably wouldn't have moved Cheltenham - if you look here you will see quite a lot of pags linking to it there, and they appear to be all talking about the English town (and of course they will all need fixing to link to Cheltenham, Gloucestershire now. Bad faith deletion of new article on Shefa'

Eliezer (under a new name) is trying to delete articles on real organizations. The claim he made on the Shefa Network page is false and disingenuous. The Shefa Network is a real group within Conservative Judaism, and in fact is already larger than many organizations that Misplaced Pages already has many articles on.

The Shefa Network already has several hundred members, they have their own journal, their own website, they have already had two major conferences, and two more conferences are planned soon. Yet Eliezer and a friend of his are trying to delete its article? Eliezer has refused to even discuss the issue on the article's discussion page, despite the fact that I am trying to engage in civil discourse. Eliezer and his friend haven't even tried to see if the group exists.

Note the timestamps; they tried to delete the article within minutes of its creation. They obviously didn't even try to read the group's official website, or read its academic journal. They certainly never went to any of Shefa's conferences! They also never joined Shefa's e-mail list and asked anyone about the group. Look, attempting to delete a page without even trying to ascertain the facts is clearly against Misplaced Pages policy. And doing so while refusing to engage in dialogue is editing in bad faith, by definition.

If someone somehow still doubts that this organization exists, I can arrange for an interview with its founder, or its journal editor, webmaster, and members of this organization who have been to Shefa's academic conferences. RK 14:04, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

Help!

Some of the people who reverted my edits are spamming my talk section including divulging personal information and insults. Please advise on how to keep this from continually reoccurring. Gmail and name are repeatedly inserted to my talk page. Sorry to bother you with this, I have no idea how to address this problem.

Problem in setting up merge templates in your proposed Conservative-Judaism related mergers

Hello, it looks like when you set up the merge templates for these mergers, you inadvertently sent the discussion to a page called Talk Page. Unfortunately, Talk Page is the general help article on a generic talk page, not a good place to hold an actual discussion. Perhaps you wanted the discussion to take place on e.g. Talk:Conservative Halakha or some other actual talk page? Best, --Shirahadasha 03:01, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi! Just one more technical issue. I noticed that in the Committee on Jewish Law and Standards article, the merger template "Discuss" link points to Talk:Committee on Jewish Law and Standards, but on the Conservative Halakha article the "Discuss" link points to Talk:Conservative Halakha. Policy is that there should be one and only one discussion page that all the links for all articles involved in a single merger proposal should point to. Having everything on one page prevents the discussion from being fractured. Normally this would be the proposed destination talk page (since this is the page which will survive if the merger succeeds). Best, --Shirahadasha 01:05, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Also, the merge template for Conservative responsa points to Talk:Conservative Responsa which is actually a different page from Talk:Conservative responsa for the Conservative responsa article -- capitalization (the "R" in "respona") matters in article titles, and Misplaced Pages treats them as two different pages. In general having two pages with the same title except for capitalization is a bad idea because many Misplaced Pages features ignore capitalization and there is great risk of confusion and all sorts of problems. If you make all the "Discuss" links point to Talk:Conservative Halakha, this problem will go away. Best --Shirahadasha 01:12, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

You have removed the Talmudic reference, are you saying that no where in the Jewish tradition has this myth influenced perception of "black people" ? I have just seen a rather interesting debate by Tony Martin i would like your sincere opinion on it.Tony Martin on Judaic role in enslavement and please don’t dismiss the entire content anti-Semitic because it would be hard to believe everything he said was a lie, and he doesn’t seem to harbor any evil against Jewish people. Duplicate images uploaded

Wolterding has generously offered us use of his bot to generate lists that show which articles of ours are tagged for cleanup. In the News There is a collaboration drive to get Holocaust in Lithuania to good article status. For information about how you can help, see the talk page or contact User:Piotrus. WikiProject Kabbalah's only Featured and Good articles have been removed from the WikiProject, on the grounds that neither article (Diane Keaton and David Beckham, respectively) actually mention the subject's affiliation with Kabbalah.
