I suggest you let the matter drop. There's nothing to see there, and really, it's yesterday's snow. The issue of that unfortunate comment is long closed. Jumping in on a discussion between Bhadani and dab and trying to prolong it with inflammatory comments isn't what we're here for. It fits my definition of trolling and harassment, and I won't hesitate to block for it if this doesn't stop. After all, we're all here to write an encyclopedia, right? == Devanagari and Perseo-Arabic script ==

Bharatveer, if we give a word or name in Devanagari, it's only polite to give it in the Persian script too. India has many official languages and alphabets and Urdu is one of them. If you start trying to remove Urdu from India-related articles, I am sure that you are going to face some severe repercussions. ] 10:29, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
:I agree with ]. The lingua franca of Bollywood is ] (]-]) as opposed to shudda hindi. (see ) Many Bollywood songs use more of a Persianisized Hindustani (Urdu) than Sanskritised Hindustani (Hindi). Please also see ] where it was voted upom that Bollywood films and actors shall have their names in Hindi and Urdu. I would also look at the language articles: ], ], and ]. Each of these articles has a section pertaining to Bollywood. ] informed me that ] was even used in most Bollywood movie posters before the 90's. Now, the Urdu script, as well as Devanagari, appears in many movies before the opening credits. It is already well established that Bollywood-related articles use both scripts. Thank you for your understanding sir. ]] 19:03, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
::Sir, I already gave you a reference. You can also take a look at some film covers: ], ], ], ], etc. I have provided a few here for you. However there are many more. I will give you a brief synopsis of the film titles: The language used in Bollywood films is often called Hindī, but most dialogues are actually written in Hindustānī -- they can be understood by Urdū and Hindī speakers alike. The film industry wants to reach the largest possible audience, and it cannot do that if the dialogue of the film is too one-sidedly Hindī or Urdū. This rule is broken only for song lyrics, which use elevated, poetic language (see ]). From the 1950s through the 1970s, Bollywood films displayed the name of the film in Hindī, Urdū, and Roman scripts. Most Bollywood films today present film titles in Roman Urdū, although some also include the Hindī and Urdū scripts. I hope all of this information has been helpful to you. In light of these facts plus comments from ] and ], I have reverted the ] article. Thanks for your understanding. Shanti. --]] 20:05, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

You noted that Iraq and Kosovo are also listed in that BBC article, but you incorrectly group them under the reference of conflict resolution. Conflict resolution is (according to that BBC article) only being offered in Sri Lanka; in Iraq and Kosovo, as well as the others in the BBC article and not in the Misplaced Pages article, the only thing listed as being offered are courses and programmes. I don't reject that in itself - but I do reject that being listed as conflict resolution. Skepticism doesn't make me blind, but it does prevent me from lumping every country in an article under a category that only one country was listed for.

I do believe that I've become a bit too skeptical about this article; it's on my watchlist because of some previous editors' notions that generosity and helpfulness is more important than truth. In general I also don't disagree with that, but in the context of an encyclopedia the reverse is true. I'm reverting the BBC-reference to its earlier state, but thank you for tracking down sources for other information; hopefully I'll be able to take it off my watchlist and leave it in the hands of people who are (hooray!) making reasonable edits. If you still feel I'm in error, please contact me on my ]. --]<font color="green">]</font>] ] 14:25, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

== Mujib Assassination ==

I suggest you read the book ] by Anthony Mascarenhaas. It should provide a nice background on the history of Banlgadesh 1972-81. Almost all of the persons convicted for Zia's killing were decorated Freedom fighters as well. Read the book ... it covers both events in good detail. Thanks. --] 08:05, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

The article Carnatic music locked only because of this user ]. He tried to delete others images and put his fan's image like chembai and an europian singer. He tried to put some exernal links of chembai in various articles for for hitcounting. Please try to avoid him from wikipeida.

== KJY articles ==

Hi Bharatveer,

I believe you are a longtime user of Misplaced Pages. You know how much I am working against linguistic bias. I need not convince anyone about my neutrality. The articles ] and ] ought to be mentioned in ] page, not in many pages. Do we start albums and concert pages for all famous artists that we know? I dont think its a good idea. That's why I nominated the individual articles for deletion. Of course you know my neutrality, but yet I wanted to clarify.-- ॐ ] 17:32, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

Hi Bharatveer, thanks for your links about the limits of content on a single page, but what you would have already observed is that the main ] article already contains the same albums/concerts under various headings like "works in tamil", "works in malayalam", "works in sanskrit" etc. Under such circumstances, only a few albums are left out of the main article. So I thought separate articles to include the same content is unnecessary and users anyway will find it easier to find content on the same page. Besides there are several articles which are twice as long (about 35-40KB) as the existing yesudas article that exist without problems even for dialup users, so we can safely add more content as of now on the same page. --<span class="sigSrkris"> <big>&#2384;</big> ] (] | ])</span> 09:16, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Heather Ellis

A tag has been placed on Heather Ellis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.
