Vikram Rai - inventor of the "Master Election Algorithm for ] Employing a ] or ] Architecture" and "Master Select Algorithm for ]" (US Patent #7,814,360).
Vikram Rai is the son of Anuradha Rai and Vinod Rai, who is the Secretary, Financial Sector, in the Government of India. He is a citizen of India and has green card status in the United States.

Rai received his Master of Science in Computer Science from Syracuse University, NY and his Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi, India.
He is a 2007 MBA candidate at University of Chicago GSB and is majoring in Analytic Finance and Economics.

Prior to employment with Oracle Corporation Rai held engineering positions at Sun Microsystems and Tata Consultancy Services (formerly Tata Infotech).

Rai is the author of the book "Technology M&A: A Guidebook" and the inventor of the "Master Election Algorithm for Distributed Applications Employing a Master/Slave or Client/Server Architecture" and "Master Select Algorithm for Cluster Time Synchronization Systems", both of which are awaiting U.S. Patent & Trademark Office approval.
