::Yes, I added a comment. It is basically a "But I wrote that, I give permission to use it" situation. I don't think these editors are either pointing out what GFDL means to the author, or the author does not comprehend that. That is why I usually use "extreme examples" ("So, I will pick your text, change words to damage your product reputation, and post it in my site without you being able to claim I am breaking your copyright") with people to make them understand it is better to just write an article from scratch than requesting permission. -- ] 21:06, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

*::Indeed. I considered that too, but since mobyell.com is not being listed as a ], I thought I would keep it listed here until the site is up again. I believe it is a relatively new site, as Yahoo has no cached version of their pages and Netcraft has no statistics about the site. Since this is a split, I guess we can treat this as a false positive, maybe leaving a note in the article for future reference in case mobyell.com ever comes back. -- ] 17:24, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

This page is currently inactive and is retained for historical reference. Either the page is no longer relevant or consensus on its purpose has become unclear. To revive discussion, seek broader input via a forum such as the village pump. |
This page lists possible copyright violations as detected by CorenSearchBot. If CorenSearchBot is down, please e-mail Coren or leave him a message.
To comply with copyright policy and Terms of Use, material imported to Misplaced Pages that infringes copyright should, as a general rule, be removed. While brief, clearly marked excerpts of copyrighted text are permitted under non-free content policy and guideline, text can otherwise only be imported if it is verifiably public domain or licensed compatibly with the Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike license. Aside from brief, clearly marked excerpts, information taken from non-free sources cannot be presented in identical language and must be sufficiently rewritten to avoid constituting an unauthorized derivative work.
Evaluate each listing to see what steps have been taken or may be necessary and tag their current status here. The template {{SCV}} may be used for this purpose by placing it at the end of the report, on the same line. Do not remove listings, even if the article has been deleted or no violation was found.
