	:I looked at Ladislav's contribs today as I was wondering why it has been a while since he has commented on what has been going on at the various crypto articles that we frequently edit. I noticed this talk page thread was the only recent edits he has made. I enjoyed reading the biographical links about Ladislav and learning about him, and at the same time find the accusations that {{user\|Smallbones}} to have made to be unfounded. This to me looks like ] and I believe the line was crossed when in a span of less than 30 days Smallbones asserted without any evidence that Ladislav has some COI that must announce (with no evidence than other than Ladislav's frequent edits to a narrow range of articles). There was no mention whatsoever in any of the press clippings or nor the interesting 7 minute audio interview of any ] and that leaves me wondering what is the basis for these accusations (in fact all the sources state that Ladislav doesn't own any crypto, which would be the most common COI in this topic area). I thought I would ping a few more eyes to this {{ping\|MER-C}} & {{ping\|TonyBallioni}}. I don't have any evidence that these accusations are the reason Ladislav stopped editing, but this is just the sort of thing that drives editors away. Note that in the section just above this Smallbones also opended a ] noticeboard about Ladislav (and me as well for good measure). A bit over the top in my opinion. Flows should be compensated for when calculating logarithmic returns, the same as ordinary returns, and unless you use a time-weighted approach, it is easy to construct counter-examples to the usual composition laws, across time sub-periods, and between currency return and the return in instrument currency.

On the other hand, Chaum concentrated on design of a digital currency, and it is questionable whether there was any invention that could be characterized as blockchain-related. And this is also how I got to you :) Namely, I was searching for information I needed on financial markets and I have noticed that there isn’t a lot of "useful" information available on Misplaced Pages (to my surprise). In addition to that, the information available through sites such as Investopedia or Investing is tightly controlled by the business owners and hence easily manipulated. Simply, traders like me could not trust such sources in planning the investment and trading strategy...

			So, what we want to create is a base where active or aspiring traders, content writers, investors, and generally financial enthusiasts will share their knowledge and experience, discuss investment opportunities, analyze news etc., all for the purpose of wikinvesting becoming the biggest financial knowledge “open source” base. I am not sure if you are familiar with the recent case of GameStop where gaming enthusiasts gather around the GameStop via reddit forum and prevented the hedge funds from sinking it down. They were basically our inspiration to starting this project.

			I would love to share more information about this project with you and also discuss future potential opportunities, hence if you are interested, please let me know so we can continue this on our slack channel.

logarithmic returns

Dear Ladislav, I am very glad to collaborate with someone I assume is another mathematician on the Rate of Return article. I suspect though that you have misunderstood the point about the application of return methods to logarithmic returns in cases where there are net flows. Flows should be compensated for when calculating logarithmic returns, the same as ordinary returns, and unless you use a time-weighted approach, it is easy to construct counter-examples to the usual composition laws, across time sub-periods, and between currency return and the return in instrument currency. Hello, DorkyP. Perhaps it has been harsh from me, but it looked that your edit destroyed at least one existing citation, not giving any other to confirm the changes. It is possible that it could have been repaired. When editing, you should make sure that the citations work. Thanks for replying so quickly! I just updated the citations, and thought I double-checked to make sure they worked. Sorry if I broke them! bitFlyer page draft review

I was wondering if you would be willing to weigh in on whether this draft is better than the current BitFlyer page. A couple editors seemed to think the draft was better and one used the draft to replace the prior page. Then a third editor came by and deleted most of the page. Financial markets content project

Hello,

My name is Tijana and I am a team leader of Wikinvesting.com project. Along with five of my colleagues and friends who are investment and trading enthusiasts, I have started the Wikinvesting which is based on MediaWiki platform.

Wikinvesting is a non-profit, game-changing movement which aims to round up all those individuals who believe that unbiased financial market information and knowledge should be extensively available to everyone. And this is also how I got to you :) Namely, I was searching for information I needed on financial markets and I have noticed that there isn’t a lot of "useful" information available on Misplaced Pages (to my surprise). In addition to that, the information available through sites such as Investopedia or Investing is tightly controlled by the business owners and hence easily manipulated. Simply, traders like me could not trust such sources in planning the investment and trading strategy...

So, what we want to create is a base where active or aspiring traders, content writers, investors, and generally financial enthusiasts will share their knowledge and experience, discuss investment opportunities, analyze news etc., all for the purpose of wikinvesting becoming the biggest financial knowledge “open source” base. I am not sure if you are familiar with the recent case of GameStop where gaming enthusiasts gather around the GameStop via reddit forum and prevented the hedge funds from sinking it down. They were basically our inspiration to starting this project.

I would love to share more information about this project with you and also discuss future potential opportunities, hence if you are interested, please let me know so we can continue this on our slack channel.
