Reducing the Ideologies

Looking at the infobox, it looks there are too many. I propose reducing them to two. The ideologies are below:

  • Flemish nationalism
  • Conservatism

This doesn't include getting rid of the historical ideology and positions.

Flemish nationalism and conservatism is fine as far as solutions go.-- Autospark (talk) 20:34, 28 May 2023 (UTC)
I'd keep separatism too as it is certainly known for this. Vacant0 (talk) 21:22, 28 May 2023 (UTC)
Flemish nationalism, encompassing separatism, and conservatism as enough! --Checco (talk) 08:34, 29 May 2023 (UTC)
I would agree that there is no need for “separatism” if Flemish nationalism is listed, and is a more specific description as well. The separatism and regionalism references are best left to the article body, IMO.— Autospark (talk) 09:11, 29 May 2023 (UTC)

Including even more ideologies is not the purpose of an infobox. Vacant0 (talk) 09:39, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
OK, I agree with this. Vacant0 (talk) 09:40, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
I'll change the infobox soon. ValenciaThunderbolt (talk) 11:06, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
Alas, there is no need of "pro-Europeanism"—and the party has always been centre-right (a minor left-wing faction splintered at some point, but it was so small that it did not create any damage to the party). Thus, feeling bold, I am going to remove "pro-Europeanism" and "big tent". --Checco (talk) 21:08, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
Okay :) @Checco: Also, I've started a conversation of reducing the ideologies of Vlaams Belang too on its talk page. ValenciaThunderbolt (talk) 21:11, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
Currently, the introduction states that the N-VA is eurosceptic, while they fight for an independent Flanders in a strong EU. They sometimes criticize the bureaucracy within the EU and want to reform it completely, but they do fight for a kind of confederal model at European level, where each member state has rights and obligations.
By calling the party eurosceptic, they seem anti-EU. Later in the article I read soft-eurosceptic, I think this should also be in the introduction. Davos storm (talk) 08:50, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
The N-VA has become more and more liberal in the last 8 years, currently even the most liberal party according to well-known journalists such as Ivan De Vadder and Isolde Van den Eynde. So I think it is useful to include this, the party is still ethically conservative, although that has decreased enormously. Davos storm (talk) 08:54, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
