'''Gothic lolita''' is a ] style popular among ] youth. Usually worn by girls, the image is that of a ] ], with pale skin, neat hair, knee- or mid-thigh-length Victorian dresses, ]s, ], stockings and shoes or boots. It can be seen as a counter-reaction to the ] look.

Sub-styles include ] or EGL (with a monochromatic palette), classical or country gothic lolita (pastels), ] or EGA (essentially the same for men) and industrial gothic lolita (including PVC, leather, zippers, chains and other ] elements.)

The style also has its own monthly, Vogue-style, square-bound magazine called ] which is full of fashion tips, pictures of ] kids, ads for ] products, interviews, etc., and at least a couple of sewing patterns in each issue.

The whole movement appears to be spearheaded by ], the beautiful transvestite founding member of ] who now has his/her own band called ].
