I hope I'm doing this right, I've never done any Misplaced Pages editing myself. Hello, I'm the network administrator for this office. This is in fact a shared IP address for about 40 people. I was surprised today when i saw a message announcing that our IP was blocked from editing Misplaced Pages for a week, and for disruptive editing of Cirque du Soleil pages, no less, which is bizarre given that we have absolutely zero business with them or even with anything marginally related. I apologize for our unruly user or users (we don't keep detailed web browsing logs so right now I don't know who did it). I'll see if i can do something about it, not idea what at the moment as I don't want to outright block Misplaced Pages access to the LAN, which is currently what I can immediately do.
:Thanks for your note. I'm the admin who blocked your IP address from editing. If by some miracle I understand the technical aspects correctly, there's no need for you to block Misplaced Pages access (which would, I assume, block your access from '''reading''' Misplaced Pages as well). We can handle blocking the IP address from '''editing''' if it continues to be necessary, but that way reading is unaffected. We generally don't ask for network admins to track down unruly users, but if you want to do so we appreciate the effort. It appears only one person has been editing Misplaced Pages, based on the subject matter, so this is hopefully not affecting others on your network. --] (]) 19:21, 4 November 2019 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, I'm Dorsetonian. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Koozå, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Amaluna, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Misplaced Pages:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Dorsetonian (talk) 10:24, 20 August 2019 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did on Koozå. This violates Misplaced Pages's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. Dorsetonian (talk) 11:57, 2 October 2019 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please do not use Misplaced Pages to promote businesses. Misplaced Pages is not a trade directory. If you want to list a company for potential customers to find, please consider alternative outlets. Thank you. Dorsetonian (talk) 11:58, 2 October 2019 (UTC)

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Misplaced Pages, as you did at Koozå. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 10:51, 3 October 2019 (UTC)

Seriously, though

You cannot revert against consensus without consequence. Discuss on the article talk page, and develop a consensus before re-adding material like this. If you continue to do this without discussion, this IP will be blocked from editing. I'll leave a welcome template below explaining some useful info in more detail. --Floquenbeam (talk) 17:09, 11 October 2019 (UTC)
