The below reference from Daftary given by Iranian historian. Considering that during 1946-1978, Iran nobles together with king Pahlavi were obsessed with Arian ideology and most of researches of Iranian historians were around to prove that previous kings that ruled Iran were from Iranian/Ayranian descendants, referring to Iranian historian about the descendants of Firuz Shah being kurdish/iranian is similar to referring to an Azerbaijani historians or Turkish historians saying they were turkic. We need much more independent reference. Hence, I suggest to disccuss this reference in order find better references.

F. Daftary, "Intellectual Traditions in Islam", I.B.Tauris, 2001. pg 147: "But the origins of the family of Shaykh Safi al-Din go back not to Hijaz but to Kurdistan, from where, seven generations before him, Firuz Shah Zarin-kulah had migrated to Azerbaijan"
